well KDB is missing the first month or two of the season if indeed his hamstring has snapped? Gundo gone, Bernardo maybe as well so i think Kovacic and Rice are starters with Foden wide right and Grealish left.

I’ve never seen anybody running with a snapped hamstring mate.KDB nearly sprinted onto the pitch at that final whistle.

Caicedo is the superior player (technique, passing, ball rendition/handling in tight spaces, faster, more versatile) compared to Rice & he wouldn´t complain that much when sitting on the bench. His skillset is even more suited to play the "8-role" than Rice. If we spend +£100m on a midfielder then from a football perspective he is the better solution.

Rice is only better for PR/Merch & would enrage Arsenal fans.

If we are talking huge cash then City will use that to bag a top level winger. Foden centrally is the future now.

I love that Caicedo as a player aswell but we've never had so much as a random Twitter link. Rice has great qualities though, Im sure Pep has a plan to fit him into our system and he's more than earned my trust!

I think people were overplaying the KDB injury personally. Unless he was drugged up on painkillers, there's not a hope he walks off the pitch in the manner he did with a badly torn hamstring. Nor have ability to jump up and down 2 days later on the bus and on stage at the parade

When you are a club with high expectations who are always focused and playing at the highest level every game you can’t be coming back from the World Cup over the target weight that pep wants his players. That happening and injuries set him back massively.

I think Bernardo is going Saudi, I thought about rice being the player who drops into the defence and moves up with Rodri in possession and put stones at right back. Then they can both move into midfield each time but I reckon we will see him and Foden in the 8 at the start as KDB is out

Me personally, I’d like to leave Kovacic out, sign a winger and play Foden where you have Kovacic in that team. Up against our usual low blocks, as solid as that team is, I feel it’s lacking a little bit in the final third as it only really has 4 attacking players.

So difficult to predict this window with outgoings and incomings. Rumour wise we could be saying bye to Walker, Laporte, Phillips, Gundogan, Bernardo, Mahrez, Palmer and saying hello to Kovacic, Gvardiol, Rice, Brozovic. Could be a crazy one
