Glastonbury 2023

I don't know, the crowd seemed to be loving GnR.

They've never been my cup of tea but just look how the crowd reacted to some worldwide classics throughout their set. That's why they're headlining. That's why they sell out stadiums worldwide.

Lizzo couldn't pull that off, lets be honest, most people couldn't name 3 songs of hers.
tbh I can only name 4 lizzo songs and 4 GnRs songs

Lizzo
good as hell
juice
fitness
truth hurts

GnR
welcome to the jungle
paradise city
november rain
sweet child of mine

her set was very good tbf and had the crowd up for it, sure she headlined another stage a previous year

You never watched Terminator 2?

You could be mine?

Mr Brownstone
Night train
Civil War
Don't Cry
Live and let Die

That is me done though

Catherine Anne Davies who joined the manics on stage..... She is an ex partner of Paul Draper formerly of Mansun and there is a dossier of over 100 pages of evidence against him for stalking her.

He was allowed to tour earlier in the year before the court hearing and people actually went to still see him despite knowing this. Nothing has been said on what has happened in court, I thought that would be in the public's interest.

Anyways, moving on, it's only Queens of the Stone Age I'm looking forward to so far, but will check out some of the recommendations posted here.

As for GnR thought they were crap first time round so understandable I only know the 4 well know hits

Eltons doing it the right way, he knows your voice goes with age so he will have lots of guests helping him with the vocals.

Sorry mate you’ve lost me?
Sorry mate - would have been a lot easier to type Rory Gallagher.

Listened to an interview where Slash was talking about his musical influences and I can't remember whether it was one of his studio albums (Deuce etc) or Irish Tour but it apparently blew his socks off.

Around the similar time also saw Johnny Marr speaking about Rory and sighted the same thing. Listening to one of his albums completely changed the way he approached the guitar (which I'd never really heard in Marr's playing before).

He was also playing Rory's strat (the one in the picture I attached).........

To each their own, I just couldn't enjoy Guns R Roses at all. The Pretenders on the Park Stage were much better than them and the crowd for the headliner in comparison didn't seem all that excited for a metal band.

Foo Fighters still winning the weekend for me as it stands.

Am actually complementing the Beeb on something and thats how well they are covering the other stages, and not just the Pyramid Stage, as well as on the iPlayer you can virtually walk from one stage to another (or switch over).

Queens of the Stone Age will be a good one.
Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone age never got the love in.
Saw some of the Foo Fighters the other day switched off.
Makes me wonder if us old 70's and early 80's rock fans think the same.
