All players are only worth what the buyer's willing to pay.Anyone actually think Rice is worth ~1.5 Rodris?
Rice being valued at £120m must make Bernardo wonder where it all went wrong with his £80m valuation! Lol :-)

He probably wasn't even a Plan B - I assume using Ake at left back was Plan B, and Gomez was exactly what he turned out to be, a young, fairly cheap, backup in case of emergency option.Gomez was a last minute Plan B, not a Planned Plan B to be fair...
Jack Guaghan retweeted his earlier article.
How do you know we aren’t in the same scenario right now? Remains to be seen how well the club has handled this situation. If Plan C is signing a very raw player from Celto de Vigo I can’t say that fills me with a tone of confidence.Gomez was a last minute Plan B, not a Planned Plan B to be fair...
Did City really want him?
The reason I ask is that City obviously have a valuation they will not go beyond for a particular player, right?
So, why did City pay £100M 2 years ago for Jack?
I know it was his release clause but as good as Jack is now he was way overvalued at £100M 2 years ago but City paid it because they wanted him.
Something to ponder?
Or it's just the next elaborate way to create another thing to investigate us for...collusion...A few of you owe eni aluko an apology………
All very well but it negates the ‘City won’t pay above valuation/worth’ strategy, surely? Some were saying at the time that we got and paid that much because Silva wanted out!
Well, then it would be birijani and highly unlikely that we could get the paperwork faxed in time. What if it turns out to be really good Rice, like the one with little bits of meat and prawns in it. You know the one that is ooozing with flavour and serves you well.
Anybody who thinks what came out of her mouth has even the tiniest grain of truth attached should be immediately sectioned.Or it's just the next elaborate way to create another thing to investigate us for...collusion...
Evidence? ...because Eni Aluko suggested it and that's what it looks like...
Gomez was bought at the last minute. We're not even in July yet mate, so there's time to comb through our scouting reports & make the right choice. How do you know we aren’t in the same scenario right now? Maybe we thought he was worth the fee? Crazy eh..All very well but it negates the ‘City won’t pay above valuation/worth’ strategy, surely?
they might never pay add ons just so they can berate grealishAt least they can’t say we’ve paid the most for an English player now. Although I noted the bbc saying it’s the same as Grealish although a paragraph late added there was £5million add ons.
I don’t disagree that there is time, and we need to wait and see what the clubs list looks like.Gomez was bought at the last minute. We're not even in July yet mate, so there's time to comb through our scouting reports & make the right choice.
Last summer we had two last minute buys. Gomez hasn't worked out "yet", but as for £15m for my player of the season, Akanji? :-)

It baffles me how some people’s minds work.
In what way has it been proved she was right?
Lunatics have taken over the asylum (transfer forum but same thing...)
Not sure what your point is, we don't know what over our valuation was for Grealish, wasn't £100 mill or else we wouldn't have bought him. Where is seems £100 mill for Rice was over our valuation so we didn't go higher than our first bid of £90 mill.Did City really want him?
