Oh do fuck off!

As if that was the reason why City bid.

Correct about braindead and clueless.

she's a fucking shit pundit and should be nowhere near the tv or radio.

Those melting down that because Rice isn't coming...

man up FFS.... Embarrassing is an understatement.

Me knowing he's not world class and will never be at our level, plus loving the fact we've walked away with Arsenal paying more.

I've been pretty consistent in saying Rice is good he will defo improve Arsenal but he's not world class and never will be, never ever going to be near Rodri's level and certainly not even fractionally close to being a Yaya Toure MK.2 as some strangely thought... Only real major positive had he joined (if English) is learning from Pep might've improved England's chances of success, personally I'm very glad he's not coming never wanted him... let's move on at last there's honestly much better alternatives, and remember our alternatives always usually smash it even if it seems like it's a big one, it's also not unheard us waiting a year and in the meantime with Stones around I'm confident we've made the right choice.

I dont mind, good decision we pulled out form the licit, Rice does not worth this money neither do we need him that much. Bellingham I wanted, he is very different than Rice.
Rice is solid player, upgrade on Xhaka for Arsenal but no upgrade for us on Rodri and Stones's form in midfield also not something to brush away. then we have Phillips too eager to prove himself despite his joke first season.

but other aspect is Pep probably wanted Bellingham, than Rice as plan B, and also he wanted Gundo to be staying and also we lost Maresca& Borrell. So far that is not looking good, but window is early. Txiki needs to deliver Gvardiol, and then bit of a worry Bernardo leaves.
Txiki needs to make sure the squad is stronger come 31st of August and not weaker. getting good fees for Cancelo, Laporte also will be hard imo with us signing Gvardiol nd Laporte becoming like 6th CB while everyone knows we want to shift Cancelo.
can see another loan for Cancelo if no proper offers.

its very clear we need to step on the gas pedal and make sure to seriously strengthen the squad while we are ahead. Kovacic adds some help in rotation but he aint the player to set rivals on fire which Gundo often did. (Fa-cup final for a start)

all our rivals will end up with much stronger squad than they finished, Arsenal certainly and they are not even our biggest rivals probably next season for the title.

So disappointing. No Bellingham now not even Rice. With Gundo gone on top of that we’ll be weaker next season. Better hope Rodri never gets injured, he’s going to have to play about 60 games.

Really fucking gutted we pulled out of this just over a few more million. This is the summer we should have really gone for it, as Treble winners, not let bloody rivals catch up. Fucking shite. Fuck off arsenal.

Don't worry about it there's plenty of time to get players the start of the league is nearly a month and half away, the end of the window is over two months away after seeing Stones in midfield I'm confident, we've got Alvarez who has played the attacking midfielder role a few times and we've got Phil who can play there, worst case scenario we wait a year and someone like McAtee might actually get the odd chance and who knows could smash it.

Excellent, gives McAtee and a few others a chance to up their game.
this also blows out of the water the myth that only City splash the cash. I still see Arsenal as a bit lightweight, they have spent a fortune and will be good going forward but aren’t exactly tight at the back.

We have just won the treble, are the best team in the world and have the best coach. Great days to be a blue.

If Arsenal do the treble with Rice playing as big a part as Jack Grealish did for us, then he's worth £100m. To them. Big ask though.
Arteta doesn't have the coaching chops to win a treble in my view. It isn't a coincidence that the only two men to do it in England are generational type coaches. I'm not even convinced Arteta will ever win the league.
