Maybe Laporte would be tempted to go back if they are in UCL.Williams for Laporte would be a win-win for Bilbao and City. Solves that issue.

He loves Bilbao, i think he'd go home regardless, as he wants to go back to Spain. They are valued around the same too, and city need an attacker.Maybe Laporte would be tempted to go back if they are in UCL.
Fine defender. Most teams would find him a huge upgrade.Who’s buying Laporte?
He's declined Spurs and Chelsea. Abroad: Juve got no cash. Bayern getting Kim. Real dont need him. Barca dont need him. Napoli, perhaps! Atletico perhaps. Milan or Inter perhpas. Issue is he's valued around 40-50m which is alot.Fine defender. Most teams would find him a huge upgrade.
cause losing Gundo and replacing him with Kovacic means we lose something....goals and a threat from midfieldWhy is it a backward step to bring those to in even if we keep Bernie ?

Newcastle or Saudi then which is the same really -:)He's declined Spurs and Chelsea. Abroad: Juve got no cash. Bayern getting Kim. Real dont need him. Barca dont need him. Napoli, perhaps! Atletico perhaps. Milan or Inter perhpas. Issue is he's valued around 40-50m which is alot.
naive but what does associated mean?
City wont sell to Arsenal, as reported. Laporte probably stays if there isn't a loan option.Newcastle or Saudi then which is the same really -:)
Some good points. Probably go to Arsenal…
We have gave Arsenal the blueprint to follow by allowing Arteta to mimic pep. Mistake letting him into the inner circle. Pep no more would be managers as second in command.
Some good points. We have done a remarkable job really when you think about it. Pep just fixes any inadequacies we make in the market. Maybe we do need to watch this approach going forward. We have won everything so hard to argue but I get the point you make. It is something to think about.I do admit I worry sometimes with our transfer policy, please calm down and hear me out before lambasting me.
In general we do a great job however there have been a couple of occasions where I feel we have shit the bed a little when we don't get our targets.
When we went successful getting Kane we went the season playing with a false 9 again and ultimately we won the league BUT it needed a gundo masterclass on the last day of the season AND if we had signed Kane I recon we may have won the cl 1 season sooner. I know we have haaland now but im just giving an example that sometimes we don't have an alternative that can be available right away. Another example is Cucurella... Sergio gomez was the alternative, I don't think I need to explain this.
I know in general we have done bloody well with our transfers that aren't first choice but with Arsenal strengthening so well we will need to ensure Gundo replacement is going to hit the going running, it's such an important position and I don't think the person coming in can be afforded a season to settle in otherwise we may be left ruing our decision to pull out of the rice transfer.
Just my 2 penny's worth, I do hope that this time next year I am sat laughing at why I was so silly for worrying!
I'm fairly sure Perrone does not take up a slot in the 25 man squad for either Premier League or UEFA competitions
Jack Gaughan very good for City news and he’s spot on imo. Said earlier City will not be bolstering the squad numbers. Gvardiol is wanted regardless but the rest depends on outgoings.
