General Videogame Thread

It does look amazing. The only things I’m unsure of are that we can’t fly our spaceship on the planets themselves. Like to land on a planet you just choose a landing spot within a menu screen and then it lands via a cutscene/loading screen. Don’t know if I like that tbh. It seems like the ONLY way to get around the planets themselves without walking is to use the jet pack. No flying your ship, no land vehicles as far as we know etc.

Also, 1000+ planets but only 4 big cities? That to me suggests that the overwhelming majority of the planets are just there for resources, without quests or too much to see etc. Could be wrong on this one but it did make me wonder whether having over 1000 planets is even a good thing.
If you think about Fallout and Skyrim, they are really no different in terms of the number of major Cities on their maps. Then expansions post release add more locations. With it having multiple planets i guess it makes it easier to expand the game in the future rather than adding bits into the existing map.

I was browsing through the PlayStation store and saw Dragons Dogma for £3.40. That's less than a bus ride into the local town.

Very vague memories of playing a demo of this over and over with a mate whilst stoned at uni. I am having a surprising amount of fun with what is essentially a PS3 game and have no idea how this never got more limelight.

I got 200 quid on PlayStation vouchers to use what ps5 games do people recommend. I have gt7 and mw2 already

Download the Final Fantasy 16 demo.

It's basically a game version of Game of Thrones. I'd never played a Final Fantasy before that demo and it blew me away. It's fantastic and a proper next gen experience.

The full game is out now as well if you enjoy it.

Days Gone was fantastic. Game of that year, for me. I'm not really a completionist, but I wanted to defeat every one of those hoardes :) Wish they would make a sequel!
I got rid of my playstation pro when I was skint at crimbo to buy kids presents or i'd be replaying it for sure. If they port it to series X i'd buy it again. My PC would run it but i just can't get used to sitting in front of it and gaming

Have you no way to use Steam Link for your PC? If you have a Samsung TV it has the functionality built in, or that used to be the case anyway.

  • The Samsung TV Steam Link App is available for Samsung Smart TVs with model years 2016-2021. In addition to the standard 1080p, the application supports full 4K streaming starting with 2017 TV models.

If you do not see the app in the Samsung Smart Hub it is likely that you have an older TV model, or you might be located in one of the countries where the app hasn't been released.

Supported Input/Controllers
The Samsung TV App currently supports the following controllers:

Brilliant maybe Warcraft will become part of Gamepass
Doubt it. Warcraft is technically free to play but you have to pay a monthly subscription. Microsoft won't change that. You'll maybe get some in game items free but the biggest franchise is definitely Call Of Duty.

They will definitely be on game pass with Crash, Spryo, Tony Hawk's, Overwatch.

Also they have now got a massive foothold in the mobile gaming market as they will only King famous for Candy Crush
