Question Time

The plural of roof is roofs.

Apparently not, I had to google it as rooves seemed plausible (given the plural of any words ending with an f is ves, eg elf and elves, shelf / shelves, loaf / loaves) and rooves is indeed correct as a plural for roof - roofs is originally the plural in the US only however is now most commonly used. Can’t say I’ve ever seen rooves used apart from above.

Every day is a school day and all that.

Apparently, it's a " classic example of a disputed plural".

Roves is Yank and archaic English.
Roofs is modern English

watching at the moment on iPlayer - Helen Whately is so poor a performer I am staggered she is a Minister of the Crown

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall being rebuked by Fiona Bruce for what he said over Thames Water - he keeps saying SHIT and she had to point out in iPlayer they are going out live pre-watershed ------ go on Hugh give it both barrels lad

The Telegraph/ex-Taxpayers Alliance rep doesn't seem to have anything useful or insightful to say about anything.

Don't raise taxes don't nationalise anything seems to be all she has any interest in - predictably. As they are on the NHS at the moment am waiting for her to question why everyone having to wait just don't go to BUPA

Instead she just attacked the A&E staffer Labour MP about party policy musings from Streeting several months ago.
No purpose, no input, just an out and out attack.

Seemed a bit odd to have a Brexit editor from the Telegraph who was once director of the TPA and yet had nothing substantive to add, bar one long rambling attempted analogy which got laughed at.
Again, exactly why they are there. The fact that the worm is starting to turn will ensure that they move to a different narrative to keep people lost in the more.

Just started and ‘small boats’ is quoted immediately by the dim witted Tory who is out of her depth
Most awkward thing Ive seen all week.

And the way she glared a the next speaker like some weird body language manoeuvre.....and that utter nonsense about the NHS afterwards.
The contempt this lot have to so many. people is an unsurprising shocker.

Horrid, horrid, horrid.
