I miss Tolmie. I wrote a few lines to some up my feelings and this thread.

I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

He left Ajax as a 22 year old to join Barcelona and test himself for what is still one of the most desired clubs to play for. Why do you think he's not happy to be out of his comfort zone? He's just won La Liga, playing regularly for them so why would he want to leave? Our league is hyped up, but it's not the be all or end all to play in it for a lot of players. Bellingham's just made the decision to play for Real Madrid over coming to the PL and I wouldn't question his mindset, that was a tougher choice and he's backed himself. It would be easy for Frenkie to come to England and play under Pep, he'd thrive. But he's probably happy where he is and that's fine, nothing to do with not wanting a challenge. He's arguably got a harder one where he is.

So anyone who doesn't come to the PL is weak minded then? I guess you're not a Messi fan, let alone the thousands and thousands of other like minded world class weak individuals.

Bernardo came to the PL through two other leagues. Now he wants out again. Has he lost the will to test himself too?

We will have plenty of occasions where we sell a player and some of them turn out to be gems. That’s the curse of producing the best talent and having the best coaches for a lot of players.

I think he will start ahead of Walker. As in:

Stones, Dias, Gvardiol, Ake.

Walker doesn't fit our system anymore, and whilst he is the best in the world at pocketing the likes of Mbappe, Vini, etc., we don't need that against 90%+ opposition, so I think we could see the above back 4 a lot. Just a guess, though.

I agree, though. He will be a starter for sure, one way or another.
