Keir Starmer

Bizarre that Leadsom's first gripe is about Just Stop Oil, and then bleating that Labour voted against the govt. If that's the worst she could come up with, it's quite the non-statement.

I don't really see how any pledges on future spending are worth making - the economic conditions in 18 months time could be anything, and announcements would be an open goal to have them made more difficult by the govt.
Thought he dealt pretty well (unsurprisingly) with the regular interjections.

This is why - the JSO is the best they have got. For a Party hoping something turns up this is a pretty thin blue attack line

Trying to publicise that Labour have double standards but again just looking like an absolute fool and utter ****.

When ‘Grassing’ someone up, goes bad.

I'm convinced Starmer won't stay in power long. If he gets it that is.

We've just been through the most damaging time for the tories and Starmer hasn't capitalised on that as much as they could.

But I do think Raynor would take the party and country by storm. She's somewhere in between starmer and Corbyn. But she's a mile away from the career eton twats that have fucked everything up.
Which is why she's being manoeuvred out of a future Starmer cabinet.

She's popular in the membership and outside it. Women relate with Ange and her struggles as a young mum and careworker.Along with Ed Milliband both are being pushed out because people that vote like them.

There's a reason we call him Keir Stalin.

They've gone from Jeremy Corbyn invited the IRA to parliament to Kier Starmer’s aides tried to arrange discussions with JSO and extinction rebellion over afternoon tea.

How thick do you have to be to be fooled by this shit.
Just need uncle Rupert and Gammon News to perpetuate the lie enough to get a hung parliament/Narrow Tory election win.

The viewers fell for all the Brexit lies and some watch one r/w nut job MP feed another r/w nut job MP feed him cold beans - they also believe a guy with a degree in archaeology knows the truth about infectious diseases, vaccines and climate change so that thick is my answer

Think it will be a Labour majority or Labour led coalition. The Tories are a busted flush, Starmer may be a bit dull but he won’t scare voters like Corbyn did.
If the electorate are that daft to vote the Tories in then we may as well give up on this country as it will be a vassal state, completely owned by overseas riches.

Starmer will do a good job and should get another term. Just getting the Tories out will lift a huge cloud, Starmer’s cabinet will be a breath of fresh air.

I think expectations are quite low, and that’s how Starmer has positioned himself. I actually think he’ll do better than most people think and achieve quite a lot. Without the dead weight of this current government to deal with, this country actually isn’t a bad place and has the potential to be successful given leadership that doesn’t actively have policies that make things difficult for trade and business in general.

I’m with you Brother.

Not too long ago, many were saying that Labour would be in the wilderness for years, such was the defeat. Nobody gave Starmer a chance as he took over as COVID hit and many just disparaged him as a nobody all the way through.

With that majority the Tories became complacent, passing laws on the back of a fag packet or via the media, not even bothering to tell the House, which has led to where the country is now. Is that their downfall, believing that they were the ‘Ultimate Power’?

What the Labour Party have done is incredible, the Tory party not so.

Apologies, I may have got your politics wrong. I‘m sure you voted Brexit but do get mixed up between Tories and Corbyn fans/Starmer haters.

Brexit yes(disastrous decision) and Tory once due to brexit, Corbyn and co and the campaign to overturn the result of the referendum.

I’m 52 so I wouldn’t class myself as a staunch Tory given I’ve voted Labour in every other single GE I’ve been able to.

I am not however left wing like the vast majority of this forum is and would actually admit to being socially slightly to the right if I’m being honest. Blair and New Labour was a huge success for this nation but saying that in here will fall on deaf ears and sadly, called a Tory but eh ho…
