It is pretty strange though that we are starting pre-season and we don’t have any assistant coaches. Maresca was hands on with training. It’s pretty uncommon for it only to be a manager taking the training with no support from coaches. I know they can’t just ‘sort it’ and there will be added complexion but at the same time it is probably a higher priority than any player incomings at the moment surely.
Where have you heard this? Lillo left his role at the Qatari club but it was for ‘emergency personal reasons’. No links to lampard I’ve seen except when tolmie mentioned it as one to keep an eye on

I think you will find Pep often comes on the matchday thread during a game to see from the experts what subs to bring on & when so its probabably the same when they are looking for a new assistant coach..............
The U21 coach would be a useful acquisition to the coaching team.

I’m sure there are many desperate for the jobs, if anything because they all get a good paying gig after a year at the club. Personally I’m not sure it’s a great idea to go back to Lillo. In his case, because he is a very imposing intellectual presence, I feel I can comment. I felt last season was a successful and significant move away from what Pep had built together under Lillo’s influence.

They will have known well Borrell was leaving some time ago and were also aware Vicens was applying for managers jobs, so the situation is under control.
It doesn't bother me, I'm just pointing out it will be in hand, and the players aren't even back until today so Pep won't need much assisting yet.

Oh, that’s not happening. He played a game just yesterday. Played another game mid week which I watched and saw his post match interview as well. He’s very involved and won’t leave the boat before the season finishes. And his current contract still has another season to go.
Ok, heard a couple of rumours and at the end of last season.
Someone has to stop him overthinking and coming up with a brilliant idea. It’s not fair on the rest of the league.
