There is a lot of meltdown going on because people have an unrealistic expectation of links and negotiations happening in the open, or even before departures are made clear. So they become afraid we have nothing going on.

What I will say, however, is that there is a risk if we don’t do things right not of relegation, but of struggling to finish in the top 4. The level of the PL is incredibly high and a lot of teams have new energy and are excited with their ambitions for the coming season. Nothing will fall on our laps by inertia.
Are you honestly saying struggling to finish in the top 4? At least your post helps identify some of the hardcore flappers in the likes box...

If bernardo doesn't sign a new contract I wouldn't keep him. Might as well get his replacement in now.
Not in a summer we can potentially lose Gundogan, Walker, Laporte, Cancelo and Mahrez.

Even if he doesn't renew his contract, we have to keep him for another year. Regardless of the offers that will come.

Pep will kick the door in at Txiki's office later this afternoon.
:)

I expect things start moving this week.

With us potentially losing tons of experience in Gundo, Walker, Mahrez and Laporte all in one summer I dont agree with that we "might as well" sell Bernardo too. On the contrary, I think this summer its probably more important than ever to keep him, in my opinion.

Id Love to know why people have such a negative opinion of Sam Lee. He seems to write well researched article consistently.

He's also good mates with onouha and David Mooney and it comes across on their podcast.

He's candidly excited about city movements on their new podcast. He admits he was a united fan growing up, but its just naturally faded whilst being so in with city.
