Caicedo is a very promising player, but my God has he become massively over-rated at the moment. His offensive output is next to zero. He would not get into our midfield ahead of Rodri, KDB, Bernardo, or Foden...JMHO
He would be a very good transfer for 50-60 million.

Have seen Dani Olmo play a lot and he is categorically not close to being good enough to play for us.

Wouldn’t hate the idea of Raphina as a replacement for Mahrez. Mainly because there isn’t many better options around. Imo we are in an era with much fewer top quality wide attackers and forwards than the past 20 years. Would prefer Sane to replace Mahrez but feel it’s all fan nostalgia on Twitter rather than Pep entertaining the idea.

He's going to have a similar career as Kante - ten years of everyone insisting 'he's not JUST a defensive player, he's great on the ball!' as he continues to come up with two goals and an assist every single season. We've gotten completely allergic to just letting defensive midfielders be defensive midfielders. Rice is another example.

Why are they acting like they are broke when they offering him a salary over £30m per year .

£47m for Neves and reportedly 40m for Fabinho without media mention of even batting an eyelid, but the chance to buy treble winner Mahrez out of the last 2 years of his contract, and suddenly the Saudis have supposedly become the new Tixiki.

Those moaning about Raphina, who do you suggest we bring in?

If we can get him for the owed Ferran Torres fee and loaning them Cancelo it's a no brainer. He provides squad depth at the worst, and we can look to improve the position in the coming years when better players come around. It's a dead market for RW's. He's PL proven and shouldn't be expensive. Perfect stop gap if we aren't ready to splash 110m on the top tier.

Honestly, I'd rather just stick with what we've got.

We don't put square pegs in round holes, ww need to buy players that improve starting 11 not position fillers on long contracts
