they won/retain the ashes fair and square and got the results in the first 2 tests, sweepers on the boundary or not they won the tests didn't they,

because the ashes are over and the weather won

England have fought back well to be fair.
The declaration by Stokes was a bizarre decision and in hindsight handed the Aussies a good start.
2-0 you have the opportunity to dictate but that’s where England have impressed me.
Weather is always a concern and that along with 0-2 has left a mountain to climb.

Can you watch these anywhere? I got watching San Francisco Unicorns v Washington Freedom last night in MLC on TNT, didn’t even know it was broadcast over here. Strange match but I’ll watch any cricket if there’s nowt else on.

I can’t remember who it was on commentary, maybe Athers, but he mentioned the black soil at the ground and the drainage. I’ve never really heard about it before or if the two are linked.

yeah they have but it was too late, Wood and Woakes should have been in from the start

Part of the game though. Sometimes it works in your favour, sometimes not. Sometimes you think it’s thwarted you then there’s a chink of sunshine and you take your opportunity.

Personally I’d take 2-2 if we can get a game completed at the Oval. England have a buzz about them and we’ve taken the #1 team on and done well. We’re still a bit behind them but we’ll come out of this series with a bright future. Jimmy should have retired last year in my opinion but it was still right to give him one last go on his own ground.

Yeah I agree. It’s frustrating but it is what it is.
