England have fought back well to be fair.bollocks ?
they won/retain the ashes fair and square and got the results in the first 2 tests, sweepers on the boundary or not they won the tests didn't they,
because the ashes are over and the weather won
It does have good drainage apparently. If they can ever mop the square up the outfield must be wet as fuck unless OT has the best drainage ever
The drainage cost £2m in around 2010 before the square was turned, Lord's drainage system cost £20m a few years earlier. It does have good drainage apparently.
Can you watch these anywhere? I got watching San Francisco Unicorns v Washington Freedom last night in MLC on TNT, didn’t even know it was broadcast over here. Strange match but I’ll watch any cricket if there’s nowt else on.World T20 Qualifying - Italy doing well in the T20 v Jersey, hit an over for 20 in Edinburgh 67/0 from 7, allnew players in the last year or so, already at USA level.
Ireland 82/1 from 7 v Austria.
I can’t remember who it was on commentary, maybe Athers, but he mentioned the black soil at the ground and the drainage. I’ve never really heard about it before or if the two are linked. The drainage cost £2m in around 2010 before the square was turned, Lord's drainage system cost £20m a few years earlier.
With heavy rain over a long period it can take a few hours.
On betting sites there are streams today. I am on 365.Can you watch these anywhere? I got watching San Francisco Unicorns v Washington Freedom last night in MLC on TNT, didn’t even know it was broadcast over here. Strange match but I’ll watch any cricket if there’s nowt else on.
Almost has been….next ashes 2031?Old Trafford as a venue needs to be fucked off. Didn’t the same happen in 2005? We could have wrapped the series up but the weather played it’s part and the Aussies hung on for a draw.
It is very good for drainage. If they can ever mop the square up the outfield must be wet as fuck unless OT has the best drainage ever
3 out of 4 series aint too bad.Almost has been….next ashes 2031?
What a way to lose the ashes
England have fought back well to be fair.
The declaration by Stokes was a bizarre decision and in hindsight handed the Aussies a good start.
2-0 you have the opportunity to dictate but that’s where England have impressed me.
Weather is always a concern and that along with 0-2 has left a mountain to climb.
edited for accuracy stop dreaming it’s pissing down all day no way there bowling Australia out then chasing a score today , doubt they’ll be any play but if there is it’s RAINING all day so may get 3” minutes here and there get out to the boozerSo no play until at least TOMORROW
Part of the game though. Sometimes it works in your favour, sometimes not. Sometimes you think it’s thwarted you then there’s a chink of sunshine and you take your opportunity.Meant to be clear by 5am tomorrow, piss take. Could have been one of the best Ashes series ever if it went to a decider at the Oval.
Yeah I agree. It’s frustrating but it is what it is.Part of the game though. Sometimes it works in your favour, sometimes not. Sometimes you think it’s thwarted you then there’s a chink of sunshine and you take your opportunity.
Personally I’d take 2-2 if we can get a game completed at the Oval. England have a buzz about them and we’ve taken the #1 team on and done well. We’re still a bit behind them but we’ll come out of this series with a bright future. Jimmy should have retired last year in my opinion but it was still right to give him one last go on his own ground.
