Right but he’s not going to know about alleged insider trading in the states or think that’s anything relevant to Spurs, he was referring to the clubs themselves.

I would have thought that it was an open secret in those rarefied circles. There's no way he's handing out tips to all and sundry who were then passing or selling it on without it getting out eventually to everybody.

Are not some of the loans need to paid of over a length of time? Because if the debt is 700m if they just pay that up in one lump sum want the banks miss out on the interest on that debt!

I think they would. I remember Vicky Kloss telling us in 2010 that the negative coverage we were getting from the media would subside once we started to be successful.

The loans on united's books are united's problem, not the Glazers. I was thinking more about other debt we don't know about, either in the Cayman Islands accounts or as part of their mall business.

I'm willing to bet there's a shit load of that.

The everybody part of that would still only be a few people in the states and mainly the authorities investigating it.

Is your opinion similar to mine that the two interested suitors of the rags have been given NDA access to the Cayman Islands accounts? As if so I believe they have decided that the liabilities they would be taking on a far too great for them to pursue the acquisition of the rags?

Those "few" would probably amount to rather more than a couple of dozen and it will spread from there once the first "few" have bought or sold at a relatively low/high price. That's why it's highly illegal and the USA at least jump all over people who do it from a very great height. It's not going to be literally by word of mouth and will be all over the place very quickly.

I doubt Pep would have the inside track on Joe Lewis being investigated for insider trading, and in any case it was Levy in particular who he mentioned wasn’t it?

Hopefully Levy has been one of the beneficiaries of what Lewis has been accused of if he is indeed found guilty though - that would be a proper popcorn moment!
