I'm guessing the argument goes - it's what you're willing to pay.
Hence no-one overpays they simply pay up if they want an item and are happy to shell out what it takes to get it.
Surely that’s paying what you are prepared to in order to obtain. If they have a set value and you pay more you’ve overpaid.

I see an item for £40 in a shop. I pay them £50 for it. I've overpaid by £10.

No. The seller valued the item at £40. By paying £50, you have simply applied your own value to the item. You've paid what you believe to be the correct price for the item.

You've not 'overpaid' a penny, you've paid the market rate as agreed.

Have we got an agreement with RB Leipzig? Or this another day of shooting the breeze?

This thread is becoming incredibly tedious haha. Any you stingy bastards ever tried haggling in a British high street shop haha?

Rodri wasnt exactly pulling up stumps his first year. Seen Phillips play some good games for England so happy for him to get more game time and build confidence
Have you actually seen that? Please tell me those games (you said some, which implies several), so I can review on you tube, as I can’t recall a single one where he’s impressed me whatsoever.
As for Rodri, and others who’ve struggled in their first seasons - you could see basic talent and ability and knew they’d come good.
