Let’s be honest. Most of us know f all! I played pro and semi pro for nearly 20 years and I know f all. I turned to one of my sons at 0-2 down v Palace and said “We’ve just got to accept this season is going to be a transition season” Some fucking transition that hahaWe aren’t just bringing Kovacic in are we. People are being negative because they have no patience and even more strange lack trust.
Every summer posters predict other have got stronger and we’ll struggle for top 4 every season turns out to be wrong.
Hope so mate .Your panicking a bit too early the windows not shut.
Also Liverpool don't even have a DM yet. There transfer business is incomplete.
Once gvardiol signed we don't have a squad space so outgoings are required too. I expect things start moving now where back off preseason tour.
The thing that makes me scratch my head is that if Gomez and Palmer had been playing for anyone else and then performed like they did at the U-21’s then everyone would have been talking about them as possible high quality buys for us. Yet suddenly they are now nowhere near good enough. The four young players mentioned haven’t shown anything like the required level in order to be regarded as reliable backup, or indeed occasional starters.
Bobb looks a promising player but is very raw, Palmer has the talent but his end product remains uncertain, Gomez still looks below the level required and McAtee (in the limited time provided) doesn’t look to have kicked on after his loan to be honest. The only real highlight for me has been Lewis’s performance against Bayern where he looked much better in midfield, but we kind of knew that already.
To put it into context, Foden is the best young player the club has arguably ever produced and has five PL medals to his name, but Guardiola still appears unsure of whether he can be trusted, so to speak, playing more centrally. That shows the levels we’re dealing with and why we need to add a couple of top class players to the squad, in addition to hopefully signing Gvardiol.

If we do sign him I hope he changes his lightsaber colour.
Football is not really for youI didn't say they were the same players but goodness, I can't believe saying Kovacic shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Gundogan is seemingly so controversial.
I'll do us both a favor and hit the block button.Football is not really for you
Please cannot be bothered reading any more of your utter bolloxI'll do us both a favor and hit the block button.
Its all good...no worries. I appreciate it. Big respect!Totally unreasonable removed, my apologies
I'd certainly be more interested in Cherki and Doku than Olise.
Perfectly possible to look good at a lower level, like a pretty poor U21 tournament, and still not be good enough for what we need in the here and now, week in week out.The thing that makes me scratch my head is that if Gomez and Palmer had been playing for anyone else and then performed like they did at the U-21’s then everyone would have been talking about them as possible high quality buys for us. Yet suddenly they are now nowhere near good enough.
If Gvardiol come in sure we don’t need Laporte in the CL squad (how many central defenders do we need) and as such there’s one space still to fill….PL spaces are greater than CL so at worst we could keep Laporte for the PL and maybe gives him incentive to look for another club as I have a feeling there’s currently only 3-4 clubs in world he’d acceptYour panicking a bit too early the windows not shut.

I disagree, he has all the toolsthat last post would be horrible
Olise fits the profile more. We signed Gundogan injured, not a major issue. League experience is important. Doku just doesn’t play enough to warrant 50 milOlise is injured for starters. And there is probably not much difference in quality betweeen the two players and Doku would be a cheaper signing.
Both will cost around 50 mil as reported.transfermarkt has olise at 34 million pounds and doku at 24. Doku is cheaper even if his value is inflated, 35 mil should do it
You mean Borges?Bobb to Ajax makes me think they might be about to part with Mohammed Kudus, explosive & versatile 22 y/o midfielder and attacker. Linked with Arsenal. Would be an interesting choice for a Pep team. Definitely something different in his play.
Might be asking the German raggies for too muchCan we please just swap Cancelo for Sane?
Am I asking too much?
