He’s a 10 isn’t he? No way he displaces Phil

According to smarterscout, Kudus has played as many as seven positions since his debut in Dutch football, operating all the way from a deep-lying No 6 to out-and-out centre-forward, with the majority of his time spent out on the right-wing running at the full-back.
Think he might be too chaotic for Pep's liking, but he is a talent, and has been linked away for a while. Easily the highest value of the Ajax players.

I think Grealish and Kovacic have got to up their numbers from previous seasons. Don't mean that as a criticism, just that they have got the capability. I also expect Foden and Alvarez to really kick on next season.

But it all feels like a bit of a coin flip and the coward in me wants to sign another player who is an absolute shagger in front of goal.
Thats the biggest issue for me, if Grealish is to blank on the left we need someone to grab goals on the right and central to support Haaland

I see no imminent way of getting "rid" off Laporte.. it's kinda weird. Gvardiol can play inverted left back as well though and can stand in a high line. Surely there is more pressing needs though.

Liverpool so far have lost six midfield players and Firminho, and Thiago is also reported to want out.

They've bought two players so far, so clearly they had better get a move on or they'll be playing with a bunch of kids.
They have absolutely ZERO depth in their back 4 which is already shaky to begin with...

Olise fits the profile more. We signed Gundogan injured, not a major issue. League experience is important. Doku just doesn’t play enough to warrant 50 mil
A regular playing for a top 6 Ligue 1 side isn't to be sniffed at. Although slightly less technical can still add a different dimension to the side. Price could be a sticking point but I do like under the radar type of signings.

Doku is more attainable, I agree.

Clearly this- there seems to be a perception this season that things happen neatly and all at once early in the transfer window, which is pretty much never the case.

There also seems to be a perception that everyone else is doing fine. Look at Liverpool - yes, they've got a couple of midfield players in, but after Keita, Firminho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Milner's contracts ended, they clearly wouldn't have wanted the position they're in now, with Henderson gone, Fabinho going, and Thiago apparently wanting out. They needed a refresh, but clearly would have done it over 2-3 seasons, rather than lose all six senior midfield players in one window.
Don’t agree with that as all of Liverpool midfield players were shite, they’ve now brought in absolute quality players, hugely disappointing

Seven out and two in is the point.

We're still here worried about players that *might* leave not being replaced.

We've extended Nathan Ake's contract that as good as a new signing. Keeping Bernardo Silva is a huge bonus as well. (even better if we get him to sign for a couple more years).

Arsenal’s depth is a myth as well. No cover for Saka, no cover for Odegaard and the back line bar Saliba and Timber isn’t all that. Midfield is rather weak, striker depth just Jesus and Nketiah.

There’s still a gap between us and the rest.

People can have their opinions on Fabrizio Romano but does anyone actually truly trust his city sources. He says Doku this Veiga that Pavard this etc etc but there hasn't been a single movement from City's board, maybe its the board and Fabrizio is completely reliable but I prefer Ornstein for his no nonsense approach, and obviously Gaughan and Blackburn are the most reliable but I can't trust Fab's words anymore
