and we still have De BruyneWe had Silva and signed debruyne worked out fine. Both can play out wide too
I really like McAtee...could be possible...could also be Wirtz, no?McAtee.
Clever that...John Malkovich? Perhaps now age is against him?
Honestly, I don't think this is an unrealistic signing this summer. Tolmie even hinted as much. We have some money (Rice bid), and I think a similar offer would get us this guy. Not only can he be our Mahrez replacement for now, but also he can slowly take over from Kev in the future. As your stats display, he is as close a player to Kev as we can get. His creativity is off the charts, and he is one of the most technically gifted young players on the planet. Versatile. Essentially, like Pep's wet dream.
Enjoy, everyone ;).
Both hopefully, would be good to get in another couple of quality playersI really like McAtee...could be possible...could also be Wirtz, no?
The closest to a young KDB I have seen.
If Foden becomes KDB who becomes Foden?
Alfie Harrison? Not a clue on the kids name but...
There was an u7s-u9s tournament streamed on Facebook a good 5 or 6 years ago there was this platinum blonde lad who was shit hot, I'm talking crazy advanced for his age he must be around 13-15 by now, so give it a few years and if (yes a big if) he's carried on improving then he'll be amazing... Then again he might decide to go off the rails in Manchester so who knows.
Downside was that his dad is defo a rag so will probs try brainwashing him to join the scum hopefully he'll be fine, like Phil his grandad who commented on all the matches streamed on Facebook mentioned that, so you could tell he was a big blue and I imagine he'll make sure he doesn't stray to the dark side.
If not whoever that brilliant kid was in those matches the way we're running this academy now some kid will come through, it's honestly inevitable we're gonna produce many many top players some will be very local, doesn't mean all will make it here but this academy is very special it's unbelievably good.
We've put down the foundations for any fantastically gifted young footballer to massively improve here, they will no longer need to be Spanish or Dutch or Argentinian or even Brazilian to make it here, they could be from the likes of Wythenshawe or Gorton or Moss Side or even Moston etc. As long as they have the talent we'll nurture it and from those kids they'll be somebody who will rise up, and I'm talking world class potential in the next 5-10 years, Phil will not be the only one regarded with his level of talent far from it.
Barca and Ajax showed when you teach them young and teach them proper you'll make them great, there's going to be a wave of talent that comes though eventually I truly do believe that.
Having watched Alfie play a lot, I would definitely say that there are others of his age now ahead of him. That is not to say that he will not rise again because there are peaks and troughs in every young player's development. My next group would be Dada-Mascoll, Ndala, Bobb, Max Alleyne and Nico O'Reilly.Alfie Harrison?

I think Alfie Harrison might have been the kid from the videos I was replying to?Having watched Alfie play a lot, I would definitely say that there are others of his age now ahead of him. I think it probably is Alfie but he is now U18, so I suspect the footage was from the U12 tournament in Holland, where Alfie was the absolute stand-out.

Tell me more about this lad's hair.Maybe I've spoken to a few mates people I know who watched the video it all seems very inconclusive, one said they're unsure who the kid is but that it's not Alfie, he also thought it was an u7s tournament on very small pitches in the UK. Another friend says it he thinks it was definitely Alfie and abroad, but he doesn't seem to remember owt else at all about the video.
My nephew said the kid defo had short hair and doesn't think it's Alfie but thought it was an u8s tournament in the UK, that's who showed me the matches original and said it was a really small pitches. My brother thinks it was defo in Spain or Portugal (I thought it was over here), he thought it might be Alfie but swears was defo u7s tournament... Whoever the kid is would the club even bring players that young abroad though? I can't really can't see that at all honestly that seems a really young age.
After you saying this one my brother also said there was a picture of the kid, sat on his dad's (or uncle's) knee in winter weather wearing gloves and a rag hat.
Said it was defo the kid from the vid when a good few years before it took place, he noticed it when the mum replied to the grandad and there was a the pic of him on her profile. After that I remember him getting the clip up to show my other brother, he showed me the pic (I remember the rag bob hat) and he said we better hope he doesn't get brainwashed.
The only thing I do the remember is short platinum blonde hair, small and extremely talented plus that the grandad was a big blue.
I've asked a couple others but I'm not sure if memories are just getting distorted at this point though, seeing as it's the Florian Wirtz thread I won't add owt else unless I'm certain and I can find out who the kid is.
