The views of Jesus are now seen as woke and too left/liberal

"Multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching—'turn the other cheek'—[and] to have someone come up after to say, 'Where did you get those liberal talking points?'" Moore said. "When the pastor would say, 'I'm literally quoting Jesus Christ' ... The response would be, 'Yes, but that doesn't work anymore. That's weak," he added. "When we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we're in a crisis."

In his NPR interview, Moore suggested that Donald Trump had transformed the political landscape in the U.S. to the point where some Christian conservatives are openly denouncing a central doctrine of their religion as being too "weak" and "liberal" for their liking.
Splitters.

People are taught now not to be a ****, whilst othering people who don't agree with them so they are excluded it's allowed to be a **** to them ;)
As long as we're taught the correct rules about being a **** and the various nuances of acting like one I believe the world would be a lot better place.

There’s a huge schism coming for christianity in the US, in fact, it’s already underway. Like all religious falling outs, it’s going to be ugly and everyone, including those not taking place in the unfolding arguments, are going to be negatively affected.

Christianity is basically dying out as society becomes more secular. As a species we do always seem to need to live our lives according to some sort of authoritarianism dressed up as a virtuous code of attitudes and behaviours. We'll just replace Christianity/ religion with some other made up shit to govern how we behave - like woke or all the gender politics shite. In a couple of millennia I'm sure all that will sound as daft as the sky fairies and Santa.
