The CPS have a lot to answer here, sadly no one seems interested in asking them the questions and yet again, the ones that lose out are the females within society.

Evans had his conviction quashed and was then found not guilty at a retrial. That original conviction was always dodgy as fuck in my eyes and nothing to do with the complainant either because at no point did she ever claim she was raped. The Evans case is in no way comparable to the other three. Sure, you can argue that his behaviour wasn’t morally great on the night but that doesn’t make him guilty of rape, and his girlfriend stuck by him throughout. Plus, unlike the other three his case has gone through the courts and reached a definitive conclusion.
 
If they do, against all reason other than greed, put him back into their team, the thread should be called ‘The Gaslighting supporting hypocrites FC’

Fans won't care. It all depends on how social media deals with it and how shite like The Athletic/Mail/Mirror report it.

It amazes me what's his worth probably £40/50m tops before it all happened now nobody is pay more than £10/£15m for him now and definitely not no other English team. Another total cock up from that vile club long may it last.

@M18CTID Evans and his mates treated that girl in a despicable way. It was not a criminal offence and I fully accept the courts verdict re criminality. I do not believe that what he did was acceptable in a decent society.
It is the same with Greenwood. He has not been before the courts and has no criminal conviction. That does not make what he did acceptable. It is about time men started treating women properly.

Not necessarily.

Most of the money they generate for themselves and the broadcasters comes from their fan base in the Far East where attitudes towards women are somewhat less enlightened than in the West.

How do you know they treated her in a despicable way? Were you there at the time? Did you witness every interaction between the participants on the evening in question? How do you know that she wasn’t fully up for everything that happened at the time? That kind of stuff goes on all over the country every single weekend when men and women go on the lash and just because it might be unpalatable for some doesn’t make it despicable.

I read the evidence that was presented to the court.
I wouldn't want a daughter of mine treated as she was.

Oh, and I take it you mean the prosecution’s evidence? The prosecution’s evidence that ultimately failed that is. What next? That the prosecution’s evidence in the Stefan Kiszko case meant that he was a despicable person?
