They sang all game up in SSL3, they were excellent.
My thoughts exactly.Massively overrated fans, I expected them to be better tonight

Always meet em on holiday, giving it the big un about drinking us under the table, talk a good drink, then after 6 pints they are following through, pissing their pants and puking in bushesEvery year they are comfortably the biggest pissed up knobheads to come to our ground, mouthy morons who can’t take their ale, for a club that excels in failure they have a very high opinion of themselves. Only Liverpool fans can match em .
I like how Newcastle fans generally are loud and give and take it but in a harmless way. Always a good laugh.
Unlike Leeds who only get loud before the match or once they know they’ve lost and then concentrate on causing trouble.
I expected the home fans to be much better seeing the treble winner back.for the first timeMy thoughts exactly.
The Fairs cup was played for by teams from cities where the trade fairs were held during the 60’s. Teams didn’t qualify by league position. The Fairs Cup was a strange competition. The first edition was played over two or three seasons and featured a London select side.
There was a rule that only teams from Cities could qualify and I think only one team per City (hence the London select team).
By the late 1960s and early 1960s, it was probably on a par with the Cup Winners Cup. By the time it was rebadged as the UEFA Cup, some felt it was harder to win than the European Cup.
I thought they offered as little as their team in SS3.I don’t agree mate. Was stood right near them in ss3. Could be acoustics but other than the last 10 minutes I barely heard anything from them. I thought ss3 was excellent at times
So have I, but surprisingly quiet yesterday.Got a lot of time for both Newcastle and Sunderland fans
Newcastle averaged 51,106 last time they were in the Championship.Nyacastle are fairweather fans, like Middlesbrough. Both have poor attendances when they drop into the Championship.
Don’t know if you googled that but there were plenty of empty seats in their last Championship season at a lot of games. They may have used season ticket sales to pump up the numbers but there were clearly not 51k supporters as an average.Newcastle averaged 51,106 last time they were in the Championship.
