The emphasis on "HE" probably means Barella. I think you're right. Tolmie tweeted earlier that Pep personally wanted Jude, Rice, and Barella so it adds up. Also aligns with letting Phillips go on loan/sold. Kova/Barella provide cover.

I like it, no fucking around, gets us what we need. I don't see too many alternative targets either. He is the best one available. Earlier in the summer, there were rumours of him potentially moving to the PL.

Spot on. I couldn't agree more. It would be a MASSIVE signing for us. He would immediately improve us. Like a statement signing that we wanted all summer long after winning the treble.
