What about Eze? I think he’d be a super signing given his profile and he can adapt his game to Pep’s style. Home grown obvious plus, could cost £80m given this time of window but he’s a sensational talent, wows me every time I watch Palace, was really good tonight too.

I would say its not particularly likely that Barella is the level we are looking at. If it was, why on earth would we try to sign a much worse player in Paqueta first? I think its much more likely plan D will be someone on a similar level or worse than plan C, at least not a significantly better player. Because usually when you go down a list the options get worse, not better. With that said they could still end up being great or even better than the first choice after they come here, Dias is a good example.
