Eberechi Eze

Makes sense to me. Pep moving towards players that can dribble now that teams have started to go man-for-man against us.
and for a lot players who uses thru balls and going for long balls, Ederson made a lot of then in last two prem games. Pep is building a new meta it seems

I'm not particularly behind this signing but we need bodies. Did you not see our Bench on Saturday?

We need an experienced player to come in to help with minute distribution in the middle. Rodri is begging for more rotation and another 8 allows us to drop kovacic back there if needs be. Foden will need rotating and some point too and kovacic can't play every game.
I get that but what happens when KDB is back... He will be behind him and Foden.

I'm not sure he's that experienced anyway, hes only been at Palace a couple of years.

they thought they had the answer to pep so he is changing the questions

One should never forget we are coached by Pep Guardiola
A 50 million player looks like a 100 million player under Pep.
If City have 90 million burning in their pocket and Pep wants Eze then City should go ahead with him.
It’s City’s fault going so late, they will have to pay the premium.
Pep would make Eze purr like Prime Zidane in no time unless you are Kalvin Philips!

Would have preferred Paqueta to be honest but if Pep wants Eze as he cant get Paqueta as requested then the club will go big to give Pep what he wants imo

Eze has 2 years left on his deal I think. Tottenham were quoted 70 million when they asked.

This kit comes from Tolm saying we're willing to spend that/ the Paqueta money in the right player.
You’re mixing tweets…. He did say that but he didn’t say Eze was that player. He has said Eze is of interest in a separate tweet, but that Palace are likely to want £90m based on other deals that have happened. Them wanting and them getting are very different though.

£90m for Eze hahahaha. Just give McAtee a chance ffs. I honestly think we have enough to get by with now Doku is signing. Just save the money for next summer.

The money sounds insane to me but we can afford it and I very much doubt it impacts our budget for next year. We have lots of money.

Yeah. This reminds me of the Kane - Haaland situation (keeping all the proportions). The Kane deal collapsed, so we got Haaland (luckily). I hope it's the same here. I hope Palace doesn't want to sell, and we get Wirtz next summer. I do not understand why we didn't just pay an extra 15m for Rice. I would stay away from 90m players who are at their peak age after only one good season and don't immediately improve us.

Like? and I mean players who a) want us and b) who’s club will sell to us.
I think Inter will sell Barella for this money.

Valverde, Tchouameni- Real will sell in my opinion, they will use the money to get Mbappe this summer.

Kudes from Ajax will cost half of it.

Wirtz- If he feels he is valued by Pep and he gets minutes there is no reason why he won't come. He is just afraid of not getting minutes before the Euro

FDJ, Gavi, even Pedri for the right price- Barcelona neeeeeed the money. Fati on loan with an option to buy?

Bayern will sell Kimmich for 80,90 M and probably way less. Sane? Coman?

For 80,90 M I'll expect a WC player or at least WC potential. There are better options, even in today's market

We were saying at the game on Sunday that with Newcastle pressing us high up the pitch Ederson should start firing a few long balls over the top for Haaland to run on to, which is exactly what happened in the second half. Opposing teams who think they can stop us playing out from the back will soon realise Pep has more than one trick up his sleeves.

Could be good, could be bad! We'e gotten more right than wrong in recent years so i'm inclined to trust the guys in charge! The red bastards really have killed the markets.

I doubt it now this late in the transfer window. Eze is more use to Palace than he is to City. Following Paqueta's collapse I doubt there is another one lined up other than the Doku signing.

After Docu think we will buy another player we that short on players

I honestly don't think there's much of a chance of any of those coming here. Kudus would be the exception and he's quality but I think there are question marks over his attitude. Either way, he's not world class at this moment in time.

Rice deal still confuses me. We are willing to pay a little extra to get Paqueta close to 80 mil and willing to go to 90 for Rice why didn’t we went a little higher to 100 with better payment structure.

Going all out of Rice would have stopped this panic and we do have the money.
I seems like media news about Rice loving London too much must be true or why would you ever chose Arsenal over City
