In terms of playing an opposing team in the Premier League, Sheff Utd’s performance so far is probably the most abject I’ve seen in years.

They might be 0-0 thanks to getting extremely lucky but they’ve done absolutely nothing but hug and grapple us in defence and throw themselves to the ground on the 2-3 occasions they got past the halfway line. I’d be embarrassed. 0% action in our third at one point in the game.

If there’s any justice then we’ll smash three or four past them in the second half which will be no more than they deserve.

Glaringly obvious what is going wrong our tactic of a centre back stepping into midfield is not happening and we cant break their lines , also lacking creativity , Alvarez has done Ok but he hasnt got Foden's ability to thread a pass.
Foden on for Alvarez or Grealish because he has done next to nothing , bring on Rico Lewis for either Ake or Gvardiol and let Rico run at thei r midfield.
Need to change something or this 2nd half is going to fly by at 0-0.

The fact they haven’t conceded is about 90% luck and 10% judgment. They might hang on all game but it doesn’t change the fact this is the performance of relegation fodder. Totally incapable of actually playing the game.
