TV Series

Good news: new series of Planet Earth coming soon, with 97 years of age David Attenborough still producing the goods.

Not so good news: New series of Mrs Brown's boys also coming soon.

With all the bad weather this weekend I started to binge watch Benidorm on Netflix, Quality easy watching comedy. Forgot how good Donald and Jacqueline were.

Was about to drop off to sleep at about 1 am last night when I noticed that I Claudius was being shown on BBC4.

Watched about 10 minutes of it and was hooked all over again.

Have already seen it twice and am now going to watch it for a third time on the iPlayer (where you can also see a new interview with Derek Jacobi).

For anyone who has not seen it, yes it is dated and the sets are creaky, and it doesn’t really get into its stride until episode three, but after that it is utterly scintillating.

In particular, the quality of the writing is exceptional, some of the finest dialogue ever written for the screen.

Watched the hatton documentary and really emotional and sad. Loved him in the 2000’s and
Was a proper hero as a city fan, just sad when you see the crap he had to deal with and the clear demons he had going on. Just hope these days he has some peace and lives a good life.

There were rumours that it would continue after a break but no such luck.
Yeah there's also doubts over whether Kin will continue after series 2, money issues with the production company I read, will be a shame if they drop it.

The Following Is A Pack Of Lies

Cast is good. No problems with the story but I don't think I have patience, the tension seems a bit stretched out to me. Dunno really.

Finished the first season of Yellowstone last night and really enjoyed it. Shame I don't have paramount for season 2, hopefully 5 show it once they've finished airing season 1.
