Correct.

A bit like Ratner telling his customers his jewellery was crap.

But flipped by Soriano telling other clubs City will make revenues of £700mill
I don’t get this argument at all, it’s not kept on the hush by any means and any club searching our results will easily see what we have earned the previous year. It’s public information, so why not bring it up to show how well run we are?
Im convinced you’re either having a bad week or only happy when you’re miserable. I like you as a poster but the negativity is depressing at best, we are the best run club on the planet, the best club in Europe if not the world as it stands, embrace it and enjoy the ride. I’ve no doubt we’ll break records again this year and I’m highly confident we’ll grab that 4th title in a row.
We have done some excellent business and I’m sure in the next 36hrs or whatever it is, we’ll bring 1 or 2 more in. Have faith Blue, trust the club to do what they always do… We are winners on and off the pitch for a very good reason.

That's when Kovacic will take up the slack in Rodders position
yeah i think that to...against some teams at home we could not have Rodders on the pitch and just play kovasic in the DM role (or mybe even Phillips if Pep can geta tune out of him in training)

I think the signing of Doku allows us freedom to move Bernardo centrally, phil or even Grealish if we want to play Doku off the left as well.

It’s always doom and fucking gloom in here… Having watched the “challengers” over the first 3 games, I can honestly say that none of them put the fear of god in to me this season. They all look weaker despite strengthening and all have the CL/Europe to navigate too this year.
West Ham and Brighton currently look more a threat than Utd, Arsenal, Newcastle or Liverpool as it stands. That may well change but unless they can make it click pretty soon then I doubt it. Even with our injuries we look like we are up for it, Walker’s desire and passion to rectify his cock up Sunday should show you we are up for it regardless and want 4 in a row.
Also worth noting those stressing about not buying players are also saying said players are average and we should be playing youth… Can’t have it every which way that suits. City have had a great window so far and yet again proven we’ll not be taken the piss out of with overinflated prices or demands.

I'm not dismissing Liverpool as a threat, and that's nothing to do with what happened last weekend, although Brighton looked fucked already, giddyness was starting there after winning opening two games v Luton and Wolves, soon as they came up against an half decent team they were smashed,at home as well.

Liverpool will play weakened teams in their Euro games as well, which makes them better equipped come weekends, they are a threat, not a worry, but certainly a threat.

The irony of course is that in theory we shouldn't have even known about the confidential investigation into Paqueta, nor West Ham, nor Paqueta and someone at the FA did us a massive favour by letting it out.
Under the fundamental principles of employment law, WH were duty bound to disclose information pertaining to such an investigation, particularly given the potential for sanctions including - but not restricted to - a lengthy ban. Whether the source was, in this case, the selling club remains unclear. However, it is standard practice for any responsible employer to explore whether a prospective employee is subject to any form of disciplinary investigation as part of their due diligence procedures.

We bid for a player who until recently had a £45m buy out clause, we offered £10m more than they had wanted until this summer. It was removed on the promise if a CL club came calling he’d be allowed to leave for similar money! We have come calling and they now want £15-20m more? That’s mugging City off not the other way round.
We are playing the game, they say £60m, we offer £50m with the realistic belief of a compromise of £55m! We would not have bid that had we not been given a nod to that being accepted. We don’t have time or patience to piss about going to and fro, it serves no purpose.
As for us taking the piss, how? We value him at a set price so bid, they won’t budge so we move on.. it’s standard practice in any negotiating, you never go in at the asking price nor expect to ever pay that. I e never bought a telly without some money off! It’s far from insulting, it’s standard.

City may value him at a set price. Wolves value him at a set price. Wolves hold his contract. A 4 year contract. If he doesn't sign for City by deadline day he stays at Wolves for at least another season. It is up to City to either meet Wolves valuation or get close to it. City don't do that by making one low ball offer and leaving it at that so far, if the rumours are to be believed? There's posturing and playing selling clubs and there's taking the piss. Make a fair and sensible first offer, get the ball rolling, and come to a (slightly) higher offer both clubs are happy with. Player signed. Transfer business done. Pep is happy. And the team and squad is stronger and better. Fulham at home next.

If you pick a B team from our squad how many first team players do we have to pick?

Ortega
Lewis
Palmer
McCteer
Bob
Gomes
Philips
Doku

That's it none of those are first team footballers now! Very inexperience and no even a full first team! Thought we had 2/3 players per position!?
rfered to as embarrasment of riches last night by some expert

Chelsea have fucked the market no doubt but our CEO breaking the professional norm by announcing our forecasted turnover for the financial year and how the business brand is growing so quickly probably wasnt to best business idea with regarding transfers etc?
Everybody knows our turnover and can guess the region it will be in. Has nothing at all to do with what our prifits are or will be, which compared to turnover isn't that much.Has nothing to do with our transfer negotiating, clubs want the maximum they can get, not just from us either.

West Ham didn't know about the investigation.

You can't be duty bound to report something you don't know about.

6 different midfielders not going our way this summer with £100m in our pocked if you include Gundo leaving unexpectedly.

Genuine self sabotage, we'd all be howling if it was United/Liverpool doing it.

The blokes only redeeming asset is being Peps bezzie
If Liverpool or United signed Gvardiol, Kovacic and Doku I'd be extremely jealous tbh.

I’m not suggesting WH or Brighton will challenge, they’ll both fade away but both (as I stated) currently look better than Liverpool. However, Liverpool won’t win the PL this year in my opinion. It’s ours to lose I think, some will call me arrogant but I’m just confident.

Was picking a team with no first team players all them you mentioned are first team players
That gives us a squad of 23 players, hardly thread bare and absolutely full of quality. We’re suffering cause our best player is out long term and he makes such a big difference to our starting 11.

Where do you get this promise of a CL club calling bit ? Seems completely made up to me, otherwise surely it would be in his contract?

If that was the case, I stand corrected. However, I would contend that responsibility then falls to the FA to disclose such information. Either way, it can't be described as a 'favour' on their part.
