Akanji was offside from Ake's header. Akanji jumped out of the way of it, Fulham trying to claim that he affected the keeper.

I'm surprised it wasn't disallowed to be honest.

The first 25 were awful, but we have been better. Foden immense again, Doku with some good dribbling, Dias good in defense.

Watching it back, I can understand the Fulham protests, to be fair.

I suspect that the PGMOL will make a BIG show of apologising to Fulham for the VAR error after the match, just to make it clear we benefited from it.

Their goalie delays his dive as he needs to see if Akanji touches the ball and re-directs it. He doesn’t touch it, but we gained an advantage from a guy in an offside position. Guess the guy on VAR is getting two weeks off.

Thought we were wishy washy as fuck that half and pretty lucky to be going in ahead.

Needs to be a lot better / sharper / more energetic 2nd half.

Loved Doku’s exciting take ons but Pep will have to do a fair bit of work with him positioning and not ball watching wise.
