Agree. But the modern interpretation of the rules allows that goal every time. It seems to imply the goalie should be aware he would be offside and not let it affect him.

If Akanji isn't standing there, the goalkeeper dives early without the pause and reaches the ball. It was hardly a power header.

I’ll take it. Finally a decision going our way. Akanji was 5 yards in front of the goal keeper, didn’t touch the ball and the keeper was already diving in the right direction. No offside interference for me.
