Player that everybody loves but you think is overrated

Fannying about at the back that has seen us play some of the best football in history whilst winning numerous trophies beyond my wildest dreams.

Oh, for a Peter Reid in charge and some launch ball to the head of Niall Quinn. Heady days indeed. (pun intended).
Towards the end of that, I remember a collective groan from the main stand as yet another City attack was keeper to RB, RB to right wing, HOOF into the grinder hoping Quinn was there, about 10 seconds altogether.

Adama Traore. He's fast. He's oily. Thats it. "but he scored a few against city". "Did he? Sign him up then"
Probably not "highly" rated but enough for Wolves, Barca and where is he now, Fulham?? to buy him. Not to mention all the commentators salvating everytime he comes off the bench.

Raphael Varane. Absolutely fucking CRAP and used to walk into FIFA team of the year despite sitting on the bench while Ramos and Pepe played all the serious games.

Heung min-son. Has 3 good games a year.

Casemiro. Big fat pudding who just stood behind Kroos and Modric assaulting people while the referee looked the other way for 10 years. Getting exposed as the immobile limited thug he is for the rags.

Personally, I dont think Saka's crap.

It's just the media, especially Arsenal fans, likes to put him equal to the likes of Vini Jr and Mbappe, which is just atrocious imo. He's a very good player, just not THAT good.

I just don't see how the English media can have such high appraisal for a player who has barely kicked a ball in the CL, if ever. Pretty sure if you looked around, you'd find a handful of them who'd take Ward-Prowse over Pirlo.
Saka is a Good maybe even exceptional player.
But Arsenal and England are set up for him to do everything.
It’s like everyone are pinning their hopes on him doing something.

My choice would be Bellingham. But as bad as Bellingham was. I wouldn’t take him off and put Rashford on.
In fact southgate should have just took Bellingham off. And left it at that.

Suggest you change your allegiances to Boro if you Ederson gives you a heart attack. The results, trophies and the CL final speak for itself.
Yep sorry. I'll retracted my Ederson comment and just say Rashford like everyone else

He was a phenomenal player before his knee injury but he's been absolutely shite since. He seemed to get away with it for a while but teams are all over him now. He'll be on the bench by Christmas.
Have to disagree, he had one, maybe one and a half incredible seasons, hes got nowhere near that before or since

Can’t have that one myself, as much as I’d like to talk down a United player.

Picked up his fair share of injuries for sure but still managed over 700 games, which ain’t too shabby for a crock.

He carried England and United for years.

Quality player for me I’m afraid.
He ran around a lot.
And he got injured because of the way he tackled.
Did he change the way he tackled?… No

Anyway… his game plan was to run and hassle. It worked against Liverpool in the odd game.
A bit like us in the derbies in the eighties. Worked our socks off to get a draw and we lost the week after because we were knackered.

Then I watched City in the Six aside comp.

All the North West teams were there.

Utd v Liverpool were up next. Robson played exactly as he did back in the day. High energy and running about like a Jack Russell. Gillespie or Hansen played in slow motion. Without a care in the world or a bead of sweat and wiped the floor with him and Utd. John Stones springs to mind.

I think Liverpool beat us in the final but it was a closer game.

Cheers bud. Love City but if you express a slightly different view to the masses on here you just get the piss taken out of you. If ever there was a thread title that you should be able to do it on its this one.
You are entitled to your opinion

I would say most underrated if anything.

Southampton away, years ago and he was playing one touch on his goal line.
That was the day when I thought there’s no point in worrying and started to admire his calmness.

During the first few months, and maybe the entire first season that Eddie was with us, I used to have the willies, when he was passing out to the defenders, but now, I’m just relaxed about it.

The only time I can recall City conceding a goal because of a poor pass by Ederson was at Klanfield, in the 3-4, I think it was.

Not a bad record for six+ seasons.

3 good games is abit of an exaggeration, but I agree with the sentiment. He always gets labelled 'world class' but he consistently have these prolonged periods of 'burnout' every season. World class players are world class because they are consistent throughout, Son isn't that consistent.

Top player yes, but not world class.

Saka 100%. Couldn’t trap a bag of cement yesterday yet the media team on C4 were labelling him as our star boy and the RW position is his.
I can’t hear the commentary but subtitles included “Southgate has got every decision right.” from one of the C4 team. Jeez.

That and a perfect pass to Rashford at the swamp once which they scored from.
It was right at the end of the game
