He’s not unelectable but now he’ll have four years of chaos, monumental idiocy and a de facto coup as part of his track record this time vs being an unknown but “fresh, non-political” quantity last time. He’s not won new converts and lost some who he had, but combining his cult with folks who always vote Republican no matter what, he’ll be some kind of threat. I do think the pragmatic issues of whether he can do the job with serious questions about the legal jeopardy he’s in and/or whether he’s disqualified due to the 14th Amendment will raise some doubts for those wavering on the edge of the dark side.
