They're back on top form. Was getting worried. Terrifying if the person behind the "thought bank" is allowed out in public unsupervised though.

So City and nobody else are rattled by Saudi league because they can offer more money, but the likes of liverpool and united who have higher wage bills than us and have to offer big money to attract talent because they cannot offer titles or trebles shouldn't be worried? Similarly, city are rattled by their ability to offer hard to decline offers for players even though they're the most financially secure club in Europe, but the likes of liverpool and united who are anything but financially secure, shouldn't be bothered.

Genuinely thought the "he's signing for the prestige" horseshit myth had been killed off long ago, its made funnier they've brought it up just after a window where Bellingham who they've been stalking for 18 months publicly rejected them and their prestige, then had that followed up by a british record snubbing from caicedo who preferred the prestige of 12th placed Chelsea over liverpool and rounded off by the hattrick snub from lavia who also preferred the prestige of 12th place cheslea and the role of backup to the prestige of liverpool. It's almost as if players who were born around the turn of the century and seen liverpool win nothing domestically but a covid cup don't give a flying shit what happened 30 years before they were born.

Are they pretending the Saudi league didn't just try to sign liverpools talisman and by all accounts salah wanted to go hence their persistent pursuit of him right until the end whereas other reports suggested they approached kdb in the summer who instantly turned them down and we didnt hear a peep from them again. Their fantasy land doesn't quite match reality as per usual.

I wish they would reveal themselves to the world, i have no doubts there would be dozens of doctors and psychologists lining up to study them.

They may not be the Liverpool that chased city but I expect them to be comfortably top 3 with Arsenal and city. Not sure what order yet as the season is barely underway.

Not taking them seriously would be a mistake.

There has always been football chants which to a lot of people have been distasteful especially back in the 70s and 80s.. I myself have always accepted it as being part and parcel of the game especially given every club apart from United... Liverpool and Chelsea are tribal based on local roots and not global.

That’s absolute bollocks, and anyone who’s had an ACL reconstruction will tell you exactly the same, it isn’t just a physical thing, it’s a mental thing too, because ‘you know’ it’s not stable, no matter how much the best surgeons in the world tell you it is, it completely alters the way you think and play the game, many players can adapt, and Van Dijk did, by laying off a few yards and giving himself a little more time to think and adjust himself to react, but it gets you in the end and people suss you out, get close to him, make him twist and turn, and he’s fucked, and he knows it.

The whole idea of tragedy chanting is bullshit at its very core, as steve hughes said you cannot make it an offence to be offended, everything about being offended has to do with the person or the collective and what offends them doesnt necessarily offend me and vice versa and just because they as a collective or a bunch of whiney perma offended , ashamed of nothing offended by everything, granny robbing, coach damaging fuckwits does not mean they should get special treatment
