If we are honest, this thread would have a completely different mood if Haaland had done what he almost always does and put away those two clear chances. Not much Pep can do in game to counter the world’s most prolific striker missing sitter after sitter.

We haven’t been nearly as bad as many are making out, and have created plenty of chances, we just haven’t capitalised and we lost a ball in midfield and defended the resulting counter poorly.

It is a game of moments, and that one has unfortunately been the deciding factor thus far.

I am confident Pep will make adjustments and motivate the team to be more dynamic and less wasteful in front of goal.

And you know Haaland will have already lit a fire under his own arse after those two misses.

It was always going to be a slog coming back from the break, away from home, against a side with 11 men in the box and no ambition apart from winning the odd corner and waiting for us to make a mistake.

If we don’t come back in the second half, then we can unleash recriminations.

In Pep and the players we trust.

Not our day it seems. Not sure Pep is completely happy with things out there, a few bad passes. Doku seems to be letting the side down but there again he has beenthe only inspiration up front.

Cmon blueeeessss!

Bit of perspective needed. Erling missed two glorious chances. Gvardiol could have scored.

West ham playing well and took their chance.

Get Nunes on to drive forward creating havoc

Today yes

But if that was true how, would he be top goal scorer in the legue with 6 in 4 games and have scored a hatrick in our last game?

Stop shitting your knickers

Yeah he's missed some sitters today, tell me a striker that hasn't before.
Lol. I’m not shitting my knickers you tit. He’s been wank so far today and v sheff U. Doesn’t mean I don’t think we’ll still win and hell probably score 2

Our opponents scoring with their first (ok second on this occasion) chance happens frustratingly too often

Unfortunately this is par for the course playing the beautiful expansive possession based football we do. We don’t give many chances up but when we do due to the high line they are usually golden ones on the break often one on ones.. which also reflects badly on Eddie as it warps his shot stopping stats as all his saves are pretty much against 70% goal chances.

Wouldn’t have it any other way though.
