Mad that both Chelsea and United are out of the title race in September.

We'll have an idea of how serious this Liverpool team is before the next international break when they start their Thursday night/Sunday afternoon games against West Ham, Spurs and Brighton.

If we win everything, including away at Arsenal, in the same time frame then the rest of the league is going to be shitting them selves.

I reckon Klopp will rotate in the EL and they'll be fresh in the PL. They can win the group with squad players.

Their successful start will invite hype, which won't be good for their relatively new team. Their midfield is not ready for big games, imo. Got away vs Newcastle through luck and also Newcastle being clueless how to move the ball vs a 10-man team.

Arsenal are probably better than them. Will be interesting.

March is a tough month.
Rags at home
red scouse away
brighton away
arse at home.

plus if we're still in it champs league,Fa cup and an international break for possible injuries
It’ll be close to wrapped up by then - whilst appreciating the desire to talk up ‘typical city’ and not get complacent, nobody is getting within 15 points this season.

I thought we'd win our first six games given the teams we were up against but it's a great start nonetheless.

If we can win our next two away to Wolves and Arsenal it could really demoralise any potential rivals.

I've not read the thread so forgive my ignorance if this has already been asked But, has any team won their opening 7 fixtures in the Premier League era?
Yes, Liverpool won their first 8 previously and Chelsea have gone 9 from 9 I'm sure.

We need the great start we need to beat wolves as well just because I have the feeling fatigue will hit us a hard last 6/8 games..

Lots and lots and lots of football left to play, but if I was an opposition fan I wouldn't like the look of giving City a 2 to 4 point head start even this early in the season.

Big weekend next weekend, win again and we go into the Arsenal game with them basically needing to win.

Cant fault the start but the reality is that we have only played one half decent side in West Ham

Arsenal's first dropped points off of the back of European football with them looking leggy towards the end.

They'll comfortably finish top 4 but no title challenge.

Looking like Liverpool will be thereabouts but they don't look great.
