Eh?As long as we have Guardiola, there will never be a day when the Etihad is on its feet because players are running around like headless chickens.

Phillips hides.Thought Phillips had a good game. Bobb and Lewis went awol in midfield when Newcastle doubled up on Phillips.
No mention of 5k away fans wed eve...imagine it being the other way round and they bought 5k to ours....cameraman would be fixated on the loyal geordies all night....our image is just so shitWe did what we had to do and just got it out of the way and onwards to proper games
Yes, losing hurts and you feel for the travelling fans tonight with money and time spent supporting the Blues
Not much more can be said really that we all knew before kick-off, Pride in Battle
We played half a full strength team and didn’t bring on our strongest players. Of course I wanted us to win but in the context of a competition that we were never likely to win due to the clash with the club World Cup, no I’m not too disappointed we’re out at this stage. You went arsed whether we won?
Takes all sorts I guess. Maybe it’s the new- age City and people like me have to understand there are fans like you.
What bollocks. We were weak as piss all night. Newcastle wanted it moreThink Pep was more pissed off with the officials than the result, they basically allowed Newcastle to kick their way into the lead, then blew the whistle every ten seconds when they were one up, no coincidence the first two bookings were our lads, born out of pure frustration, this seems to be a continuous theme in our games
We were beaten by bottom table Saints last year and by West Ham the year before, and this Newcastle team isn't very good.He always fielded weekend teams it’s just the teams we’ve faced in the early rounds recently we’re a higher standard
Simply luck of the draw
Phillips didn't do much right. Nice lad but not good enough.Extremely disappointed when we lose.
Don't understand this half-arsed approach by Pep, either play kids and lose or play to win.
Lost to five minutes of bluster and shouting crowd.
Phillips didn't do many things wrong, but nobody replaces Rodri right now even for a game.
With Nunes and Doku on we were 300% better.
I know Jack has been injured, but don't see him regaining his place in the first eleven.
Totally different players. Which is a good thing reallywhen watching grealish you can see how brilliant doku is, doku made a great impact when he came on
Which County FA is he registered with? Surely can’t be Manchester County FAChris Kavanagh - unknown
Another referee for whom there is huge conjecture as to who he supports, with the whistler having been born in Manchester.
The fact that he has taken charge of eight United and seven City games means that despite the speculation, he does not follow one of the big teams. Suggestions that he supports Stalybridge Celtic have not been confirmed.
The ref is from Ashton. Do i even need to suggest the obvious? Also who the fuck are Stalybridge Celtics.
He might yet start at the weekend...Now we're out of the Caraboa Phillips won't start another game unless we draw a minnow in the FA Cup. That's if he's still around in Jan.
Staybridge celtics is the baseball team
Agree on all points other than it would have been better if a few players had been sat at home rather than having a 24 hour round trip to Newcastle and back.Exactly the kind of performance I was expecting to be honest.
The positives for me are that Walker, Dias and Haaland got a full rest, we will now have a much more manageable fixture schedule and Oscar Bobb looks the real deal.
I hate seeing us lose but I think it'll be a blessing in disguise and will help us in the other competitions.
