Absolutely NOTHING can justify or condone what Hamas has done.

And (not but) the conditions Palestinians have been subjected to, and their treatment by the Israelis over the past decades are appalling. Whilst Hamas' actions are in no way justified, it is not rocket science to try to understand why this has happened.

Israel is very naïve if it thinks there can ever be a military solution to this. More Hamas deaths just = more martyrs and more Palestinians deciding to take arms.

Lasting peace can only ever come through a political settlement, never a military one. And that means compromises on both sides, including that of the Israelis. Unless and until they start treating Palestinians with respect, honouring agreements, respecting borders, withdrawing from agreed Palestinian territories, they will forever be at risk of terrorist attacks.

Hamas murdered over 1000 innocent people in the name of a political cause, it happened, it meets the definition of a terrorist so how are they not terrorists?

Why can this not be reported as fact when it is a fact? Anything else I'm sorry is utterly moronic. The only defence of this is to enable the people who disagree that they're terrorists, IE the people who support Hamas terrorism.

Israel is a democratic nation. Its citizens are able to vote regardless of their ethnic origin, religion, level of religious observance, gender, sexuality or other defining characteristic. It's an imperfect voting system though, as it tends to mean that the minority parties set the agenda. But the Israeli people have a choice and with the nature of the coalitions often being fragile, they have to exercise that choice regularly.

Gaza (and the West Bank) last had elections 17 years ago. In Gaza, Hamas won that election and, following a civil war, executed many Fatah members (and also gay people). It rules by terror and has effectively left the people it supposedly represents in a permanent state of war and subjugation, by its refusal to cooperate in any meaningful way with Israel. Yet the 2m people in Gaza have no choice in the matter.

The term "fascist" is often defined as one that doesn't allow any opposition. Now, which one best fits that definition?

Gaza hasn’t had an election for 17 years. The average age there is 18. The general populous have nothing to do with Hamas being in power. In effect, they’re basically a rogue group holding the place hostage.

Israel are basically using the horrific attack of Hamas to carry out an even more horrific attack of their own. We should be surprised that a so called developed country feels the need to murder thousands of incident people, including children, in a revenge attack against people who were nothing to do with the attack against themselves.

It’s sickening what Hamas and the Israel government/army are doing. Genuinely disgusting.
