It had to be a late stop to create the offset that would allow Hamilton to have the pace advantage on Verstappen at the end. If he'd have pitted earlier he likely wouldn't be quick enough to get past.

Don't think that David Croft is any sort of F1 oracle. Wish he'd go back to darts already.
 
That was the most I’ve enjoyed a race for a while.

Thought Hamilton should have won driver of the day but the top three were all good.

Leclerc must be feeling very very angry after that.
 
It was an alright race. At the end of the day the inevitable happened and Verstappen won again even starting 6th on the grid and with a knackered car.

By my reckoning the RB19 is currently the most dominant F1 car over a season of all time by win percentage.
 
A good time to watch but realised why I no longer make this a priority. Sky are abysmal with their one-team coverage. Martin Brundell’s sycophancy with Red Bull makes the show unwatchable going into the final third.

I did enjoy the race, though. The wide track really makes for decent viewing.

Champions are always a little curt when at the top, MV is probably the worse for that, IMO.
 
Well done Max. Put the rest of them back in their box after they got a bit giddy from the sprint race.
Disgraceful booing from the pro Hamilton fans though but what to expect from their ilk

Sounded to me the ones being were the same ones chanting Perez during the Dutch anthem being played.

Not that it will bother him, he'll probably play upto it in Mexico.

Only had to listen when they cheered for Hamilton. Anything to try to stay relevant, surprised he hasn't used the race card yet
