Tyson Fury v Francis Ngannou farce - Result confirmed it!

Honest????

Yeah only really remember 2 rounds the other fella landed punches
Fury just took the rounds with handful of jabs for me
Doesn’t sit right in the mind watching it as FN looked the dangerous fighter but it’s boxing and has to be scored round by round

As much as Fury deserves shit for a cack performance..

NGannou deserves some shit too. Quite obvious he was only there for the payday. Laughing, joking and celebrating on his way out, followed the script perfectly and didn't dare question anything about the scorecards.

Money in the bank, kerchinnggg.
Exactly. But I don’t think he deserves the shit, he had a job to do and he did it.

That was probably the most bent sporting decision we’ll get to see until, um, tomorrow afternoon.
Agreed. But to the various people on here who think Fury just lost, do you HONESTLY think Fury would have fought like that in the last few rounds if he did know already he was assured the win? That's quite naive of people if they think that IMO. You don't ruin your 100% unbeaten record without at least trying...and he really didn't try.

When they called this 'Battle of the baddest' that wasn't because of how bad the judges were was it?? Hopefully none of them are on VAR duty tomorrow!!!

You don't go from best heavyweight in the world to complete bum overnight mate. Either he wasn't taking it seriously (like he knew it was fixed for him to win anyway perhaps) or he was ill or something. That was not the performance of the world's best heavyweight now was it.

How long can you maintain that tag though? Forever ?
Fury hasn’t been in a ring for a year. It’s sport. It’s unpredictable. Shocks happen. Especially in individual sports.

Djokovic lost to a lowly ranked guy in QF couple months ago, would guess odds on his opponent was even bigger.

That wasn't in the script'

Fury beats Ngannou by split decision
Tyson Fury speaking to TNT Sports after a split decision win over Francis Ngannou: "That definitely wasn't in the script. Francis is a hell of a fighter, a strong, great puncher.
On Francis Ngannou: "He's a very awkward man, a great puncher and I respect him a lot. He wasn't coming forward, he was standing back and waiting for me. He's given me probably my toughest fight in 10 years."
On being knocked down in the third: "I got caught round the back of the head. I wasn't hurt. I got up and got back to my boxing."
On the split decision win: "I don't know how close it was, but I got the win and that's how it was. You can see it here, ring rust. Fair play to Francis, he cut my head here. It was a good fight."
What's next: "I'm going to go home, I've been in training camp for 12 weeks. I'll take a long hard rest and see what's next for us."

Not a fucking chance mate.
They are making excuses already for him.
He didn't have the balls to outbox the non boxer

This is only similar to if a YouTube fighter lasts the whole bout with an actual professional boxer.

He's happy cos he knows where the level is to reach and he traded with "the world's best"!

One SHOULD celebrate those factors when you've never fought a professional bout ever, in boxing.

The constant dismissal and lack of appreciation of this fact is annoying on this thread.

Fury won but Ngannou surprised me'

Three-time world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, speaking on TNT Sports: "I thought Tyson Fury won. Ngannou really surprised me, he showed really good poise and patience."

I’m a little bemused by how many people are calling this decision a disgrace. Scoring it round by round Fury won 7 at least and then with the knock down it takes it to a 96-95 decision.

Hats off to Ngannu though without doubt but don’t think this was a bent decision by any stretch
