I think this will be the end of our run now. I'm hoping VDV isn't serious but if it's a grade 3 tear then this is worrying, even for his own game in the future. Fingers crossed it's not serious. We will be having a makeshift defence with Udogie and Romero suspended and VDV injured. We have already lost Solomon and Perisic to long term ligament damage too. No word on Maddisons injury either.

Whats the chances you get a top striker in the window? Who do you fancy to go upfront? I know he got a hat-trick but I would reckon it would be ideal for a better one up top. You haven't had a beast since Diego Costa

We've been linked with Toney and Osimhen but for me I have PTSD when it comes to big money strikers. I have been burnt by Shevchenko, Torres, Morata and Lukaku. Both Toney and Osimhen look like certified flops if they join Chelsea :)

I do like Jackson though. He's raw and very inexperienced but at the same time he has a lot of tools that, if developed and coached, he could turn into a top player.

If they'd have concentrated on football rather than kicking fook out of the opposition they would have won comfortably.

I actually think the game was going to even out. They were on top the first 15 mins, we were on top the following 10 mins and then they completely imploded. Before the game I had this down as a 1-1 and the way the game was going before the first red card, I still think it would have ended in a draw.

Bloody hell. What a game. I actually felt we should have won that.

But a point against the best team in the world is a good point.

i thought we should have won but a great game of attacking football.a bit of a defence disaster class but very entertaining.i think you lot are on the way up

The last 2 games should give them confidence looking ahead. They may consistently start taking points off the top 7 and do us a few favours as the season pans out.

If they don't beat a midtable or below midtable team it tells me poch is not all that

And therein lies the problem. We just cannot for the life of us figure out how to break down a low block. Top teams like City and Arsenal will always come on to us and we’ll have enough space to work with. I feel like the next step in the evolution of this team is to learn how play against teams who park the bus.

Poch is one of the best coaches against teams who attack his teams he now needs to learn how to break down a poor team who park the bus! He had the players to do it but will he find the key to coaching at the really top level like Pep klopp and Arteta

Very true. Fair result in the end.

Interesting to see if Chelsea turn-up when it's different opposition!
They did it against us (Arsenal) as well. In fact they were probably more dominant against us than they were vs City and we were lucky to get a point (but strangely could also have nicked it). But Chelsea were the best team we have played so far this season.

However the next game Chelsea go and lose at home to Brentford!

I actually think the chavs will have a great second half to the season.. they are improving and have quality. They are fun to watch too. No other premier league team could have coaxed us into the chaos we witnessed today. They will be a serious side next season.

After all the money you 've spent ....you still need to figure out how to beat a defensive team ?
Ok..

I agree, we are maybe starting to see things starting to come together for them. They have got some very good players, much better squad than the rags. The challenge for Pochetino is finding out which players will work and building round them, the look strong in wide areas with the options they have. Hopefully they get it together and Spurs have a good rest of the season to push the rags further down the league.

Since when did Chelsea become a basket case team?!

Yesterday was no doubt a great watch for the neutrals and a draw was probably a fair result given our defence reverted to the Pep 1.0 approach of just not really existing in any meaningful way.
