Poor first half but a lot better in the second.
The subs changed the game and we looked like we would win once we got one back. We don’t look to good defensively at the moment though.

Well there's something to learn from for the weekend. Fuck me! That defending from Dias and Akanji was woeful. Son will be licking his lips ahead of the weekend. So sloppy. Great mentality to get back and win. A bit concerning we play two teams who love to play pacey strikers in behind!

It's weird. Nobody's a bigger fan than me, but he's just leaping in doing downright stupid things. Can't work out what's up. I'd definitely drop him.

Foden has just shown in 45 minutes where and how he needs to play, from 0 in the first half to solid 9 in the second. Pep needs to start playing him in and around the box close to Haaland and Alvarez further back, or even both of them close behind Haaland, they attracted so many L defenders that Doku had a acres of space on the left.
That notebook really helped Pep, he literally reshuffled every single player on the pitch.

Rico Lewis is nineteen. Nineteen. In his position, it is arguable that Rico is at least as developed as Phil was. It's ridiculous, really.

Yep, re that first half chance he blazed over the bar, just needs to look at the composure Alvarez showed for his chance second half, or at some clips of Gundo.
If he can add that, then ‘wow’ …

Our defensive issues could be down to Pep rotating the back line every game , Stones & Dias getting injuries hasnt helped but last season we had a more settled back four after Xmas , can see Pep sorting our defence in the next few weeks , because we are giving soft goals away every week at the moment.

Much better game when we have to chase the result. We won and I’m happy with that. Rico in midfield was brilliant, he does everything so quickly. Foden my MOTM, but only just from Rico.

fairplay to redbull ,well drilled team , maintained compacted shape and gave us a good game . City started bit lethargic but the subs made the difference. Well done pep and the team.
