Crystal Palace PL (H) Post match thread

Real problem concentrating in the final 10 mins of games, all our goals are being conceded then.
 
I don’t even care about the shit ref. How the fuck do you blow a 2-0 lead when cruising. This team just can’t finish a game. That’s 4 in a row that we’ve dropped points when winning late. Pathetic
 
How many points have we thrown away from the 80th minute or so onwards this season? And how many have we won in the same period in games? Is it as simple as putting it down to complacency/concentration? We can't put them all down to refereeing/VAR decisions.
 
Palace are set up to do snatch and grab and we are set up to make the same old mistakes.

As it stands, we simply aren't as strong as last season and I doubt we will be, even with KDB returning.

We are precisely where we deserve to be. Well off the pace for title contenders. We can't keep relying on long winning runs in the second half of the season.
 
Shame - some decent moments but when you are so on top you have to finish games off. Strolling and once they made some subs they added pace which gave them all they needed to get forward easily. Rico, Foden and Walker running on fumes at the end and when you are knackered you make rash decisions. Bad effort on the pen by Phil but what was more annoying was him losing the ball in the build up when a simple pass was on. Perhaps the lack of getting John on to tighten the middle up was the crucial non call from Pep. A bad loss of 2 points - we really need Kev back he would not accept that lack of effort in the last 10 - fact.

That's absolute bollocks and u know it. Palace didn't play for 80 minutes they were never in the game we fucked it by going to sleep not because we played badly.

Just like we did with Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool…

The pattern is set this season and complacency has set.

Fitness wise we don’t look capable of finishing 90 min. Conceding late is a direct consequence of both issues.

The results are not great and there is no point pretending. The whole season is flat.

Top 4 and a cup from this point would be brilliant. No point saying we won a treble and don’t write us off. The players are not delivering this season.

New recruits maybe needed? Or maybe we have just peaked and that is that?

Either way perspective is needed. No shame in saying we ain’t as good. I had us down to win all 4 games starting with palace but now that is not the case I think the league is gone based on form. Anything can happen but based on this season results I can’t see us reaching a higher level.
