Most probably less than one year to live after being diagnosed with cancer. Sad news.

Sweden’s biggest football manager on international level. Had his flaws obviously but someone I warmed to as he’s managed my Swedish team to Europa glory and obviously his connection to City and also the England national team.

IFK Gothenburg? I used to date a Swedish girl and that’s who she supported.

It was a strange season in many ways but I largely look at his time at City with fondness. I can still see Geovanni’s goal v West Ham going in now.

Very sad news about Sven.

Very bad news indeed. That man gave us a glimmer of hope for a while and behaved with immense dignity at our club. Really liked him at City, still like him, terrible to hear, and hope he makes the most of how long he has got. Not forgetting he gave us our first win at the swamp and double over the rags in decades.

Correct mate, IFK Gothenburg.

Ah, that’s terrible news. That first game at West Ham when we suddenly looked like a team that could score goals will always be one of my favourites

There’s always a bit of hope, the woman in this article is very good friends with one of my mates who goes on our coach to the games, she’s been with us a couple of times, the article is from 2021 but she’s still going strong and living a normal life. Hopefully something similar can help Sven, I’m sure he’ll get the very best treatment going.

Hope he gets past this horrible affliction. )(
He's announced it's terminal so unfortunately that's not going to happen.

Remember really enjoying watching City again when he became manager after the truly dour Pearce years. You never really knew what you was going to get but it was never dull!! Plus he beat the rags home and away.

I wish him and his family all the best in these difficult times
