The author of the Guardian article below is Barney Ronay, a founder member of the anti-Arab cabal of sports journos who have been gaslighting City’s owners since they took over the club in 2008 and it gives me a chance to quote the combined wisdom of our learned members GDM & Petrusha on this subject from another thread,

Premier League’s greed may consume it as Manchester City’s date with destiny looms | Barney Ronay
Ominous news that those epic financial charges will be judged, eventually, feels like an existential threat for league and clubwww.theguardian.com
"Actually we know very little about the current PL charges against us except that they are almost certainly a fishing expedition. In his piece he complains that City are likely to 'get off' because we have the money to hire top lawyers to defend us. It seems not to have occurred to the clown that we might just have had the money to engage top lawyers to ensure we didn't breach the rules in the first place."

The truth is is that the FFP regulations were specifically put in place by a legion of highly paid and skilled UEFA legal & accounting advisers enlisted by the cartel of elite ‘legacy’ clubs to stop us competing with them. This shitshow should have been dropped years ago when the identical UEFA version was shown to be a pack of lies, confected by thieves for the cartel. Rui Pinto, the Portugese extortionist paid by them to hack City’s emails is now in jail. The whole process since has been conducted s in such a way that it's easy for hostile parasite media outlets and venal commercial rivals to smear us without the club being able to defend itself.
"We've had five years now of frenzied and fundamentally mendacious coverage, in which even issues such as the CAS verdict have been presented by the media with implacable dishonesty. Now, if it does turn out that there's evidence not yet publicly available to indicate that City are guilty of some of the more serious charges against us, then fine - we'll be punished accordingly and will deserve it. The point is that the media, in the utmost bad faith, wants us convicted irrespective of whether the evidence justifies it - utterly deplorable in its sickening chicanery.
There is literally nothing whatsoever in circulation that remotely points to the charges even constituting a case to answer - and yet I have not seen a single article that raises that as an issue. Not one, the whole of the MSM accepts the charges as being meritorious without even knowing a single thing about their substance or merit.
The cartel and its parasite media have deliberately created a febrile atmosphere in which all hell will break loose if the proceedings don't end with City expelled from the PL or, at the very least, suffering a severe points deduction. It's shameful given the absence of facts about the PL case currently in the public domain."

"If Pep Guardiola’s club can keep dodging these punishments, despite pumping mouth-watering sums of money into the game with regularity, then surely someone as capable as superstar lawyer Laurence Rabinowitz can do the same for Everton."
I hope the fuckin Scouse Gimps get relegated! ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯

that comes from everton who blew a russians fortune on shite"pumping mouth-watering sums of money into the game with regularity"
If the findings are that City were totally innocent, and fans of this club having put up with this denigration of our club during its best ever period, putting up with hatred, actual hatred from some reporters.. I think City fans would be very angry tbh.The author of the Guardian article below is Barney Ronay, a founder member of the anti-Arab cabal of sports journos who have been gaslighting City’s owners since they took over the club in 2008 and it gives me a chance to quote the combined wisdom of our learned members GDM & Petrusha on this subject from another thread,

And so we should be and I would want us to make their daily existence a living hell in perpetuityIf the findings are that City were totally innocent, and fans of this club having put up with this denigration of our club during its best ever period, putting up with hatred, actual hatred from some reporters.. I think City fans would be very angry tbh.
A dirty red one at thatAnd Sam Lee is a ****
He listened to the Everton game on the radio and deduced our pen was a Dave Lee Travesty of justiceThe Athletic don’t publish anything for City fans.
Sam Lee didn’t bother going to Saudi or even to Everton away. Our only reporter picks and chooses the games he can be arsed to go to.
Quality coverage !!! Ha
Are you suggesting the press people may be attacked and assaulted by our fans if we are found innocent? because tbf that is the sort of sad shit the MiBs or Liverpool fans get up to.Samuels will be the only journo who is safe at the Etihad. Fair warning to all the others: keep well clear if you value your existence.
The ones that make the most noise about us have hated us since 2008 and been calling us cheats and such for nearly 16 years, many blues have been angry at the cunts for a while, what will be the biggest pisstake is lile with CAS they will ignore the verdict if we are innocent amd revert back to human right abuse or AEU being on ok terms with Russia or some.other stick to beat us, not one appolgy given or contrition will be shownIf the findings are that City were totally innocent, and fans of this club having put up with this denigration of our club during its best ever period, putting up with hatred, actual hatred from some reporters.. I was non specific. Personally I favour surrounding the press box chanting “ Liar liar pants on fire” for a whole season. Are you suggesting the press people may be attacked and assaulted by our fans if we are found innocent? because tbf that is the sort of sad shit the MiBs or Liverpool fans get up to.
We have always been more piss taking than shithouse.
Or do you mean the club will ban them, which really they should have already tbf

Awaits the Tannoy announcement: Mr Banks is in the press box.Or just set it on fire?
That will only become relevant when City fans claim to support "an anti-establishment" club.
Perhaps someone should point out to them the difference between being found guilty and punished and still to have the hearing?View attachment 103748

We should absolutely hammer the media for their part in it. Hire a production company to do a documentary in the same style the anti-City one was done, that would be very apt. Funding could be done via a 'go fund me', by City fans. That would mean more than if the club paid for it(though there's nothing stopping Khaldoon donating ;) ). Get them to do a full run down on what was written about the club, how unsubstantiated the claims were(what was missing, to make the claims they made), the one sidedness of it, the ferocity of it compared to other examples. Such as Liverpool falling outside the break even limit in 2014, the Stanley Park book cooking, the hacking scandal, maybe even the inhaler conspiracy. The United FFP breach(it's like that never happened already). The betting 'shell companies' that sponsored United and Arsenal etc. Even the Chelsea scandal, because the press/sky/bbc/talksport don't give a shit in comparison. Also, what was written about the fans. Followed by a compilation of attacks on City fans and employees that took place since their relentless hate-mongering campaign began in 2019(could start sooner but we don't need to go full Liverpool with it). When the club gets through all this shit we need to start playing the victim.
Serious abuse we all have received, lies after lies by the media. We need to take the dips approach once we clear our name.
