I don't think many PL fans realise (or if they do, don't accept) the lure of Real Madrid, and I think that too many City fans rely on the mistaken belief that Haaland is a City fan.
Real is widely recognised as being the biggest club in World football, and I doubt that there's many players who would turn them down if they came knocking.
It won't just be about money... Haaland knows Real Madrid want him, and I fully expect that he will move there at some point. Hopefully later rather than sooner, but the simple truth is that he won't be with City for any longer than his dad/agent want him to be.

Every summer started with Aguero to Real claims. It was even claimed Sergio only came to City, because Atletico refused to sell him directly to Real.

That's not how it reads though, they make it sound like he'd already promised Spuds he'd join and then Bayern came in, if they'd come in earlier he might have preferred Bayern. Of course that might not be the case (I suspect it isn't myself) and it's designed purely for clickbait (most likely case).
