Another game, another display which shows Gvardiol is not a left back. Not sure what Pep sees in his performances to keep picking him to play there

Very good in certain aspects of the game but even worse in others leading to a completely disjointed performance that feels like year 1 pep.

Pep badly needs to change this formation if we are to salvage this. Play a normal back 4 so we aren't outnumbered at the back everytime they get the ball to start with. Then get our winger on the wing and instruct foden to be more direct when he's picking it up in the pockets. He's had about half a dozen very good shooting opportunities and ignored them all.

No sugar coating it, this will be a complete disaster if we don't win here. Dippers managed it with 10 men.

We weren't outnumbered on either goal. Walker was just fucking lazy.

Not blaming Kyle for either goal. First one he was left with two players and it was a wonder strike, that one started with mistake from Doku. Second one all on Dias, lost ball the middle and we were short at the back again.

We’re handing them this one. Better finishing and not handing them counter attacks and we win this easy.

Tbf to Doku he shouldn’t be starting after being out for so long and that’s on Pep.

Don’t think Doku has been a problem. It’s open because we just don’t defend wide areas anymore and everyone hits the ball into space and we can’t cover it. Doku had a lot to do with all our threat but our defenders can’t cover situations they used to handle. Walker gives so much space and lets them in on strong foot that kind of stuff vsnt haopen if we are going to defend without layers

This game is how we have played all season. The attack breaks down and we don’t score, then suddenly a team counters and it’s a goal against us.

Not doing enough to recover our position imo. All want to get forward but not all bust a gut to get back, needs sorted or players who will bust a gut to get back need to start.

So easy to play against us. Any team on their day will open us up.

Dias had a bad touch before their second goal, but he's been good today IMO. The rest have been a calamity.

He’s just too slow I’m afraid to play in a high line against their forwards. He defends well, gets in front of things, but he’s chronically lacking in pace, and that obviously gets exposed when the rest of the defence is all over the shop.
