Castle played very similar vs rags, Chelsea,, Arse, even Pool (1st half) in their home Pl games this season like last 25 minutes.
quick attacks, often through counters, and due to pace it often looks dangerous and ends with decent shots.

quite a pattern what Pep could have expected really. to concede all these chances despite this is a bit poor imo. certainly match was closer to 3-1 than 2-2 last minutes of first half.

we cannot drop more points imo, certainly not in games where we got something last season. we are already very much down on last year points fixture to fixture, like 10+ less points.

too many mediocre performances, Gvardiol, Dias, Walker, Alvarez, Doku, Kovacic, can even say Ortega maybe.
 
Difficult transitional season. We seem to have bought players to play a more expansive style, yet that doesn’t seem to have worked, with some of the incumbents uncomfortable with the extra openness and some of the new ones uncomfortable playing the trusted possession style. Means we get games that can be comfortable one moment and uncomfortable the next.
 
We've just had a run of good results and good performances that have been controlled and relaxed. Back to being boring for the neutral. All while Doku's been injured and Grealish has been playing more and more. Doku comes back in, Grealish drops out, and we're back to "shite defending" and producing more "entertaining games" for the neutral. I'd rather be boring winners than entertaining losers. Doku's time will come but he needs to learn before being tested in big games like this. Super Jack and De Bruyne badly, badly needed.

Fair enough
 
This game sums up how we play. We attack as an eleven and when something goes wrong from our possession we are often out numbered. Good teams punish us but we get away with it against most. This is where we miss Jack though who will run 90 yards to get back.

Foden looked like he would run this game but by his standards he’s been poor

I don’t know. We genuinely seem to have too many problems. So up and down this season.

Nothing is impossible tho
