Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Wow!

What a great game.

It was so refreshing to see a team come out and have a go at us, rather than putting ten men behind the ball for the entire match. Credit to the Toon for their contribution to this spectacle.

Five great goals and 100 minutes of brilliant entertainment. We deserved the victory, but we were made to work hard for it.

It was fantastic to see the pale Pele back on the field, and he didn’t take long to make his presence felt. What a great strike for his goal and it was a typically brilliant ball for Oscar to put away the winner.
Albino Pele

I can go with that. Maybe I’m being too sentimental about KDB being back. It just showed what we’ve missed.

Bobb’s was superb too and a big moment for him announcing himself in the league.

After months of kidding myself on that "we don't really miss him that much" so glad the ginger genius is back

Great game, great goals, many positives. If there must be a negative from the game, I would say Kovacic. I like him, was decent and should have his place in the squad, but doubt he s going to be Gundogan's prime level.

Not the linesmans fault, doing as instructed, what needs changing is the implementation, if its close, let it play out, if its clear, as both this and the Johnny Boulders ones were, wave the fucking flag
It wasn't close though he was fuckin miles offside

Any word from the club on Ederson's injury yet? Hopefully, it's relatively minor and a few weeks off (he won't play at Spurs in the cup) will fix the issue.

The fuckin linesman has one job to do and if he doesn't do it what's the fuckin point of having em, they serve no purpose anymore, the injury to ederson has been a long time coming
It's the advice that's the issue, he was acting on that advice, he stopped after Ederson had to go off, he wasn't really the problem for me. Second time in a couple of weeks we've suffered an injury because of that advice, both very obvious offsides.

Would any of the red shirts had 3 minutes added on tonight? Would they fuck!
I was fuming.

That free kick for them for nothing on about '89 took their keeper a minute to take.

Already decided 3 mins were to be added on before it.

Timekeeping in the PL is less accurate than anyJK Rowling can come up with!
