so 17 routes I'm translating to 17 buses, 70 seater buses, so that 1,190 people. It's a good start, think I'm on route 8

Bloody hell pick up in Royton any ideas on where though this would be fantastic especially getting home I’ll pay that, as sone said it’s cheaper for 4 in a car buy your not guaranteed a spot now

No doubt the club will increase their coffers by getting a cut of the money, not even subsidised either the hard faced sods.

I can catch the 219 from Stalybridge to the stadium, £2 each way or fiver for a day pass. I can buy a day saver and travel all over greater Manchester for a fiver. No way will i be using the match bus unless they charge £2 each way or accept a day pass, which they won't.

We need to know where and when
Edit: Just seen Alan’s post

Getting home from the match is the bigger issue and if marketed properly it should be quite popular. Also, the emphasis should be on speed so that people feel that it's actually quicker than their normal route

The buses should be clearly marked and ready to go within 15 minutes of the Final Whistle.
Seem to arrive an hour before and leave 30 mins after the scheduled 90 mins.

Given the amount of injury time possible, it’ll probably be more like 15 in reality.

Our bus goes from the Astley (known as Little Astley as there’s three pubs with the same name) in Dukinfield, it’s a tenner return as the coach company increased their fare.

However we usually make a bit and any excess goes toward a free bus/beers last game of the season. Plus you can order a beer for the bus which we collect from an offy, there and back if you wish. Kids for a fiver, usually got spare seats and you can go just either there or back for half price if you’re having a trip into town before or after the game, no commitment necessary, just contact me anytime anyone wishes to join us.
