NFL 2023-24

fell asleep watching it, but great game and ending.

Hopefully next year the Giants can do something ha.

One thing that I felt took the eye off the ball for fans of the game this weekend and spoilt the Superbowl was the constant media posts about Taylor Swift (NFL UK, even the cameras constantly going over to see what she was doing)

Anyone interested in investing some time, have a look at the UK's American football league. It's great fun and can't wait for that to return!

What team is most like City? Some historic success but a long barren spell? Will jump on them and support them. I had a demo of Madden years ago when I could only play as the St Louis Rams with Warner and Faulk so liked them until they moved to LA. Are there any teams that have stayed in the same place since their inception? The Rams were a Cleveland team originally iirc. Presumably they move where the money/fanbase is? Bit like Arsenal.

The dolphins. Brilliant in the 70s and the only team to have a perfect season...Super Bowl losers in the early 80s, nothing since.

I like American football nearly as much as people who like to tell everyone they don't. They're like sports vegans. Weirdos.
its the oddest thing especially where the superbowl is concerned, people go out of their way to tell you how it makes no sense and how crap it is and they wish they hadnt stayed up and in my head im just like why did you then?

Can I present my Team, the New York Jets. Winners of SB 3, only 55 years ago, a brief flirtation with the playoffs in the 80s, and since then pretty much nothing. Every season starts with a false dawn and then by week 5 the dream is over for another year .

Or the Detroit Lions, decades of nothing, last title pre Superbowl in the 50s, Barry Sanders individually brilliant like Kinky was for us and now revitalised and feels like us in 2010.

I was about to post similar.

Dan and the Marks brothers was some of the most exciting NFL I have seen, until the last two seasons with Tua, Tyreek and Jaylen.

good shout on the lions, im a pats fan because i just picked a team with england in the title when i was a kid which was good for a while but ever since tom left we've gone back down and now with bellichick gone god knows what will happen, that being said my basketball team choice was much worse, i spend alot of time in orlando so by default im a magics fan, dont know why i bother

Boooo Jets.

I was hoping the Lions had gotten to the Superbowl after the run they had but ahh well.

Possibly Buffalo....

Reached 4 Superbowls in a row and lost them all in the early 90's, reached the playoffs a few more times in the late 90's before a 17 season streak of not reaching them at all.

Now on a run of 4 AFC East titles in a row and threatening to reach the Superbowl once more, just need to figure out a way of beating Kansas in the playoffs!

Mark Duper and Mark Clayton if memory serves. Went to see them in a pre-season friendly at Wembley against the 49ers. Best team we've had in ages at the moment
