They get behind then defence. We see it as a challenge to get all ten men behind the ball then try and score.Dippers 15 shots against Brentford at the weekend, 4 goals.
City 17, in one half, ZERO.
That’s the spirit! We're going to win this.
Ben Mee OG 94th minute.Better go down early then. Down 1-0 is the safest lead in football, you know? Much better than up 2-0. SO dangerous, that.
It's exactly because we DO have the fear factor that we face massed defences every week.Sadly we have declined hugely this season and its a mix of poor transfer activity and baffling team selections by Pep.
Our defence changes per game and shits itself anytime someone runs at them and we are way to easy to counter due to only having 1 proper midfielder in Rodri, who isnt the quickest and attacking we have no pace, are far to slow and when we even create chances this is the worst season ive seen us in taking them.
We dont have that fear factor anymore and Alverez anywhere but up front isn’t working, and going forward Kyle has regressed hugely.
We just have a lack of pace in the team and are so slow teams find it easy to defend
True...Too much dicking about around the box for Haaland to score
Liverpool and Arsenal seem to cope.Doesn't help when these teams sit back, 11 men behind the ball, looking for a counter. Anti-football. Suppose that's the price of being good but they don't do it just through fear, they get a buzz from not being beaten by us so they give a lot of effort - effort they wouldn't give even if it meant taking points in a part of the table ot actually mattered to them.
How do you combat that?
Lost some zip this team.I am at the game and I have not witnessed as bad a half all season. Mainly down to Brentfords anti-football tactics but also our inability to break them down.
Yes and thats because were not a pace and power team..sadly.. also i just can't enjoy watching Alvarez. Great attitude but his finesse well...seems strange to keep playing a lad whose touch to me is a bit brick wall 'ishPerfect example was when Ederson played it through to Alvarez who was on his own and everyone else was jogging to catch up.
I feel like Haaland has lost a bit of confidence since his injury.Might aswell get used to it lads
Haaland and alveraz will play together for the rest of the season and our beloved captain will also not be dropped and I’m afraid we are seeing the end of our title challenge tonight and it’s all on pep . Also j know we are not allowed to criticise him but bloody hell Haaland is so off form he is making Nunez look great . He looks half arsed and couldn’t hit a fucking barn door atm and before I get the usual we are the treble winners and he scored 40 goals last season blah blah blah that’s the past and we are now in the present I mean don’t get me wrong I’m ok with not winning the titke this season but what im not alright with is players being picked because of who they are .
If Pep read this thread he’d tear his eyes out !If Pep read this thread he'd be a much better manager: /
It's back in 2019. Quick...to the deloreanThis could finish 4-0 or 0-1.
I really couldn’t say if we will win it :-(
Where’s the fast attacking city goal machine gone
We had 19 v Everton also with only 3 on target.Scoring at Tottenham clearly came at a cost...
He saved them there when Bobb's shot went past Flekken.Ben Mee OG 94th minute.
:)
Liverpool blew these lot away why can't we?
